Domain Registration on Record Pace? Over 750K Added Yesterday Alone - Registrations of domain names seem to be going on at a record pace. Yesterday saw the number of domain registrations across all Top Level Domain (TLD) names have a net add of over 750,000 domains according to registrarstats.com “Net Add” mean its the amount of domains registered less the number of domain names deleted. The domain name already has gotten a bid of $500,000 on Namejet.com in pre-bidding. Census.com, In Last Namescon Auction Sells To Mark Monitor Client - The domain name Census.com which was in the RightoftheDot.com domain name auction at Namescon in January 2015, just sold to a Mark Monitor client as the whois information changed yesterday. The domain name Census.com was one of my favorite picks from that auction. Biggest Threat to a Domain Industry - A couple of months ago, my buddy, Elliot Silver asked me to do an interview for his blog and asked me what the biggest threat to the Domain Industry was. I answered that government action or over reaction to attempt to deal with trademark infringement issues was the biggest issue we face as an industry. Looking toward 2008 I believe that the trademark issues still are the biggest threat.
