Rightside reports record income though new TLD income expansion is slow - Revenue grows in Q4 but new TLD revenue remains just a small fraction of the total.
Rightside (NASDAQ:NAME) today reported record quarterly revenue for Q4 of $55.7 million, and full year revenue of $212.5 million.
All three segments of the company — registrar, registry and aftermarket — showed quarter-over-quarter growth. But registry services (aka new TLDs), where the company is betting on its future, grew only slightly.

According to Verisign (VRSN) the registry for .Com, the number of .Com registration crossed the 125 million mark in the Domain Name Base.
The active zone file is just over 124 Million domain names.
The active zone file does not include domain names that are not configured for use, and those in client or server hold status.
At TheDomains.com when we report on .Com domain registrations we always use the Domain Name Base figure.
In January 2014 the number of .com registrations stood at 112 Million.

Web.com (WWWW) was up over 10% today, the company posted earnings last night (Non-GAAP EPS were $0.66, three cents above estimates) and received several upgrades today.
