.Me Passes 1 Million Domain Name Registrations +28% in 2015 - The .Me registry announced today that for the 1st time, the number of .Me domain registrations passed 1 Million domains. .Me is the country code or ccTLD for Montenegro. According to the Ministry for the Information Society and Telecommunications, the total number of registered domains amounted to 1,014,867, representing a whopping 28.36% annual growth in 2015. EURid Gets .ею (Cyrillic for .eu) - EURid, who run the .eu registry, have finally been delegated .ею (Cyrillic for .eu). Punycode xn--e1a4c. One of the things that EURid is chartered to do under its contract to the European Commission was to get the extension in scripts other than Latin. CENTR Reports There Are 311.5 Million Domains In The World - According to a new report out today (PDF) by CENTR, which is the European country code TLD organisation, as of December 31, there are 311.5 million domain names in the world. 158.7 million domain names are Legacy TLD’s including .com, .net and .org; 140.1 million are ccTLD’s (country codes), 1.6 Million are IDN ccTLD’s, and 10.9 Million are New gTLD’s.
