.NYC Gets Around 650 Domain Registrations Out Of 16k+ On The ICANN Collision List - .NYC celebrated its one year anniversary yesterday by releasing over 16,000 domain names which were previously unavailable due to being placed on the ICANN collision list. We ran the list through a whois program earlier today and according to the results somewhere around 650 of these domain names got registered. New gTLD .Miami Gets Almost 5,000 Registrations After It's 1st Day Of Availability - The new domain name extension .Miami , which had it’s first day of General Availability yesterday, where it could be registered on a first come, first served basis got almost 5K registration including around 200 in Sunrise. Here are Some .NYC Collision Domains That Won't Be Available To Be Registered Next Week - .NYC updated it’s list of domain names it will be releasing from the collision list next week. The collision domains will be release on 8 October 2015, these domains are being offered on a first come first served basis at normal registration fees with no premium renewal fees. There will be no auctions other than possibly at the registrar level for these domain name. 16,000+ .NYC domains will be expelled subsequent week - Some good .nyc domain names will be released next week. .NYC will release 16,674 previously blocked .NYC domain names on October 8. The domain names were all blocked as name collisions. Not all name collision names will be released, however. Names like Broadway.nyc, Brooklyn.nyc, Bike.nyc and Brewery.nyc are still being held back, presumably as premium domain names or for the city. Steve Kaziyev of City Partners and Your Brand Discusses .NYC Purchases. - Steven Kaziyev is a New York based domain investor who operates sites at CityPartners.com, YourBrand.com, and DomainCrunch.com (I do write at Domain Crunch).
