UK brands tread carefully with .sucks - UK brands are cautious about registering domains in the .sucks TLD, according to domain name registrar 34SP.com. As of 21 June, thousands of .sucks domains became available to the general public, but only 20 percent of UK brands registered domains under the controversial prefix. ICANN is saying its “Best” estimate is that the average renewal rate will be 50% for new gTLD’s except for TLD’s that provided free registrations where the renewal rate was estimated at 25%.
