.Bank opens for business - Domains in the .bank TLD, targeted at financial institutions worldwide, are now available.
The .bank TLD has strong industry support with more than 4,000 names already requested, according to registrar CentralNic FinTech.
It also has the backing of the British Bankers Association, the American Bankers Association, the Financial Services Roundtable, the Institute of International Bankers and the International Banking Federation.

UK brands tread carefully with .sucks - UK brands are cautious about registering domains in the .sucks TLD, according to domain name registrar 34SP.com.
As of 21 June, thousands of .sucks domains became available to the general public, but only 20 percent of UK brands registered domains under the controversial prefix.
Top UK brands such as the BBC, Cadbury and Dove .sucks domains are currently available.

ICANN Best Estimate For New gTLD Renewal Rate 50%; 25% For Free … - In releasing its 2016 operating budget ICANN made some estimate for the purposes of budgeting revenue from new gTLD’s.
ICANN is saying its “Best” estimate is that the average renewal rate will be 50% for new gTLD’s except for TLD’s that provided free registrations where the renewal rate was estimated at 25%.
