Google To Get Access To The Twitter Firehose - Google will get access to the Twitter firehose once again and tweets should become indexed in Google right after they are posted. This could maybe be beneficial to those tweeting domains for sale if those tweets get indexed under the targeted keyword. Bloomberg Business broke the story.

Donuts Beats Google, Amazon, Dish Network, Radix, Famous Four To .Movie New gTLD - Donuts has won the rights to operate the new gTLD .Movie beating out 7 other applicants including publicly traded Google, Amazon, and Dish Network.
.Movie was the last new gTLD scheduled to go to the ICANN last resort auction in January and was apparently settled by private auction.
The other applicants that have now withdrawn their applications for .Movie were Radix, Famous Four, ARI Registry Services, and NU Dot Co LLC, the company that sold the .Co registry to Neustar for $109 million dollars.

Google Domains Now Open to All in The U.S. – Over 60 new gtlds now accessible for registration - Google Domains is now opened to anyone in the U.S. they are also offering over 60 new gtlds for registration.
TechCrunch is reporting that Google Domains is now available to anyone who wants an account

Google said at the time its service also includes phone support, indicating Google’s intention to market it more to business customers.

Google Sees Its Search Share Slip and Yahoo Sees A Rise On Mozilla Deal -
StatCounter reports that Google has seen its search share slip to its lowest level ever in the U.S. In the meantime Yahoo is being buoyed by their new deall with Mozilla that makes them the default search engine.

Report: Google To Sell Car Insurance: Google Compare Auto Insurance Licensed in More Than 25 States - According to TheVerge.com, citing a a new report from an analyst named Ellen Carney at Forrester says that Google maybe getting ready to sell car insurance in the United States, through Google Compare.
Google does own the domain name GoogleCompare.com since 2005, but it currently does not resolve.

More and more tidbits continue to come out of the Sony leak, The Verge reported on a meeting between Sony, Google and Homeland Security. The Verge a week later ran a story about Google being incensed over Hollywood’s anti-piracy measures. Google upgrades mobile-friendly sites in hunt results -
Sites will get label, and might get a search benefit in the future.
Google announced today that it is adding a “mobile-friendly” label to sites in search results, and is experimenting with using mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal.

Google Withdraws Another New gTLD Application: .Earth Won By Interlink Co., Ltd - Google has given up on another new gTLD extension.
Just hitting ICANN’s site today, Google has withdrawn its application for .Earth
The remaining applicant is Interlink Co., Ltd. of Japan also known as Urban Brain.
The new gTLD was set to go to auction later this month.

New top level domain name company Radix has secured the .site domain name, the company announced on social media this morning.

Google reported via their online security blog, that there is a vulnerability in the design of SSL Version 3.0. Apparently usage is ubiquitous as most browsers support SSL 3.0. They have recommended a work around to the problem.

Google Entering a Domain Business May Have Less of an Impact on Web.com -
Summary
Web.com’s stock has declined 36.4% year to date. The decline is being driven by lower revenue guidance and Google announcing their entrance into the domain industry.
Google will have an impact on the domain industry but the impact won’t be as significant as investors are anticipating. Additionally, Web.com may actually benefit from Google’s presents.
