Who bought what? End user domain name purchases - End user buyers include Fluor, which has a $6 billion market cap.
Sedo handled 588 domain name transactions last week for a total of $1 million. A number of these domain names were purchased by end users, including the pricey acquisition of Choose.co.uk.
Among other notable buyers, Engineering company Fluor bought a four letter domain name for one of its partnerships.

Yahoo reports gain in line and down 2.3% after hours - Alphabet (Nasdaq:GOOGL) reported strong earnings and the stock hit a new high on the way to becoming the most valuable publicly traded company in the world. The Robin to their Batman, Yahoo (Nasdaq:YHOO) reported earnings today after the close.

Namejet.com Reports Almost $2.5 Million In Domain Sales In January - Namejet.com reported almost $2.5 Million dollars in domain name sales in January 2016.
Only domain names that sold for $2,000 or more are included as are only domain sales that were paid for by the end of the month.
In all Namejet.com reported over 300 domain sales including many from the RightoftheDot.com auction that was held on Namejet.com as part of the Namescon Conference.
By comparison Namejet.com reported sales for January 2015 were less than $800,000 based on 1/2 as many domain sales

A domain name investor has successfully defended the domain name DiamondTrust.com in a UDRP filed just after he won the domain name on NameJet.
James Kim of South Korea won an auction for DiamondTrust.com for $1,319 at NameJet in October last year. Diamond Trust Consultancy (UK) Limited filed a UDRP against the domain name the following month.

Austin entrepreneur Brett Hurt, who founded Bazaarvoice and later took it public, is launching a new startup on a new top level domain name.
Hurt announced that he has joined up with a number of former Bazaarvoice execs who later went to HomeAway to found data.world. (HomeAway, another Austin company, was recently acquired by Expedia.)

Minds + Machines Reports Q4 data - Billings surge in Q4.
New top level domain name company Minds + Machines has released some of its Q4 and full year 2015 results ahead of the publication of full results in April.
The company generated $4.18 million in billings for domain name registrations in Q4, with $1.52 million of this from premium domain names. These numbers are up significantly from Q3, which had total billings of $1.42 million.
Total billings for 2015 hit $7.92 million.
