Evaluating domain names on ValPak coupons - The majority of advertisers in a ValPak coupon mailer include a web address on their ad.
The majority of coupons in this ValPak mailer included a domain name.I recently analyzed a coupon mailer I received to see if local businesses are promoting their websites in advertisements. Today I tore open a ValPak mailer to see if the results would be similar. They were, with some slight differences.
Compared to the RSVP coupons, ValPak had a bit more of the national advertisers, such as Omaha Steaks. Here’s ... read more ...

Domain Movers are domain names that I dig hard to find that have been acquired by some of the largest companies in the world. These discoveries often are early indicators of new brands, new products, services and more by companies. The domain names ... read more ...
Donuts: “We’ve labelled a product aloft utterly simply since we consider it’s significantly superior,” - Xconomy.com did an article on the new gtlds and had a focus on Donuts and they got quotes from Richard Tindal a co-founder and COO. Again I think some of the quotes are way off base. Tindal talks about Donuts pricing being higher because it is a superior product. No new gtld currently is superior to .com that is just patently false and this type of stuff is what hurts the new gtlds in discussions and debates imo. Tindal does have the good sense to admit that awareness of the new gtlds is still very ... read more ...

Filing Fee for .sucks Top-Level Domain Names Really Sucks for Brand Owners -
The recent top-level domain name explosion has been of great interest to existing brand owners and new market entrants alike. No longer is a business limited to deciding which of a few top-level domains, such as .com, .net, .org., .us or various country-specific domains, to select when registering for a new Internet address. Under the new generic top-level domain (gTLD) program administered by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the number of top-level domains available ... read more ...

Buying web addresses best protection for brands in light of expansion of domains – Out -
Brand owners might have lost the battle to prevent the expansion of generic top-level domains (gtlds), but a bit of pragmatism now could massively reduce those companies' exposure to reputational risks.
There will be a cost for businesses in registering web addresses rooted at the new domains, but it will be lower than the costs those businesses would face in retrospectively challenging ownership of web addresses that cause damage to their brands. Even then, businesses whose brands are protected ... read more ...

Well Cosmo Kramer This is Why Radio Shack asked for your Phone Number - For years on Christmas Eve I would buy a last minute gift at Radio Shack, it was across the street from the mall and it was open later than other stores. I always couldn’t stand them asking for my phone number or email address when I was just trying to get out of there.
For fans of Seinfeld, Cosmo Kramer wondered about Radio Shack from this classic clip:
Well it seems now Radio Shack wants to sell that data and as Mike would say, No Bueno.
