Tucows (AMEX: TCX) appears to be joining a chorus of domain name owners who are bypassing UDRP and filing lawsuits in response to domain disputes.

Parava To Give Tucows’ Hover Brand a Boost -
Registrar will take over management of domain names from de-accredited domain registrar.
Domain Name Wire has learned that Tucows (AMEX: TCX) will be taking over the management of domain names previously registered at Parava Networks, also known as 10-domains.com. The official announcement is forthcoming from ICANN. Tucows CEO Elliot Noss declined to comment for this story.

Will Google Come Under Attack By The US Government - The Justice Department’s top antitrust official announced Monday a return to a more aggressive approach to dealing with dominant companies that use their position to squelch competition.
Christine Varney, head of the agency’s antitrust division, announced the withdrawal of a Bush administration policy report and said the department “will be aggressively pursuing” companies that abuse their monopoly positions.

New Study: Digital Media Revenue To Double - Forrester Research, a media research firm, predicts that interactive marketing spending will hit $25.6 billion this year, up 11% from $23.1 billion in 2008, as advertisers shift money from traditional media to digital.
That total, which includes search, email, social media and mobile marketing dollars, is expected to more than double to nearly $55 billion by 2014.

Google To Run TV Ads For Chrome - Google plans to promote its Chrome Internet browser with a television commercial that will begin airing on at least one U.S. network this weekend, making it the search company’s first national TV ad campaign.
Google, TV as say Chrome is “new way to get online,”.
The TV spot is part of a wider ad campaign that includes video ads on various Web sites, including the New York Times.

Google Search Share Zooms Past 72% - According to the research firm hitwise, Google’s share of U.S. Internet hit 72.7%, in April.
Yahoo was at 16.3%, Microsoft’s MSN was at 5.7% and Ask.com had 4%.
A year earlier, Google accounted for 67.9% of all U.S. searches. Yahoo, MSN and Ask were 20%, 9% and 5%, respectively, from last year.

VeriSign: Domain Growth “Better Than Expected” adult 9% - VeriSign in reporting its quarterly earnings issued today, had some interesting comments regarding registration and renewal rates for the 1st quarter of 2009 and some predictions for the next quarter.
