3 things to check out during subsequent week’s TRAFFIC conference -
Here are three sessions I plan to attend at next week’s conference.
The TRAFFIC conference kicks off in Ft. Lauderdale Sunday evening, with programming beginning Monday morning.
You’ll rarely see me attend the actual conference sessions at these shows, but there are a few that I plan to pop in on this time around. They all take place Monday.

Although the conference doesn’t start until Wednesday, many went early to soak in the sun and hit the blackjack tables.

TRAFFIC sets dates for Las Vegas show -
It’s a year away, but dates are finalized.
For a while there were too many domainer-targeted domain conferences. Then the pendulum swung the other way.
TRAFFIC is adding an additional show in 2013, and today it announced the final dates. The show will begin Wednesday, May 29th in the evening. It will conclude with breakfast on Saturday, June 1 2013.
The event was originally planned to start earlier in the week, but organizers received concerns about its proximity ... read more ...

5 Questions To Be Answered during Next Week’s TRAFFIC Conference -
The only TRAFFIC of the year is upon us.
This year TRAFFIC will host just one conference, which kicks off Sunday in Fort Lauderdale.
Last year there was a TRAFFIC conference just about every other month. Combined with other domain conferences it was simply too much. Having just one TRAFFIC this year means a greater concentration of domainers and a bigger focus on business.
Here are five questions to be answered next week in Fort Lauderdale.
1. How will the auction ... read more ...

DNW’s Takeaways from TRAFFIC Miami -
Biggest TRAFFIC conference in years concludes in South Beach.
TRAFFIC Miami drew to a close this morning with a presentation and domain trading session organized by Epik. Here are my takeaways and random tidbits from the conference:
-Attendance came in below expectations. Although I was unable to get a full tally, attendance was somewhere south of 300. Still, this is one of the biggest TRAFFIC conferences in years, and credit is due to Rick and Howard for making ... read more ...

Rick and Howard Pulling Out All a Stops for TRAFFIC Miami -
Everything’s lined up for TRAFFIC Miami. It seems that it will deliver.
I’ve been a vocal critic of some of the TRAFFIC shows in recent years. They seemed to have gone a bit stale and attendance had dwindled.
That will not be the case with TRAFFIC Miami, which starts Sunday evening at the South Beach Loews. Perhaps Rick Schwartz and Howard Neu had something to prove. It doesn’t hurt that this is the only event they’re planning for this year (Rick Latona ... read more ...

Here’s the scoop on the next TRAFFIC conference.
TRAFFIC is taking the show on the road again next month, traveling to Dublin, Ireland August 24-25. Domain Name Wire caught up with show organizer Rick Latona to get the scoop on the show.
DNW: Why did you pick Dublin as one of the locations for this year?

TRAFFIC Kicks Off in Vancouver -
A TRAFFIC conference in Vancouver, eh?
Yesterday afternoon I carpooled from Seattle to Vancouver for the TRAFFIC conference. As we crossed the border, the border agent was very stern.
Why are you entering Canada?
For a conference.
What kind of conference?
A domain name conference.
A what?
I thought we were about to get into one of “those conversations” where you try to explain the domain name industry. But we didn’t and were shortly on our way into the city.

The Week Ahead: Seattle, Then Vancouver -
Stay tuned to DNW for reports from TRAFFIC.
I’m headed up to the Pacific Northwest this week, and the timing couldn’t be better. It’s getting hot in Austin. It’s near 100 degrees, which is hot enough that I’m asking myself why I live here.
My first stop will be Seattle on Monday (high temperature 71) to visit DomainTools’ new offices. I checked out their old digs a couple years ago, and they were nice. But word is the new offices are a nice improvement. ... read more ...

You Should Go to TRAFFIC and You Should Register Today -
Get a conference pass before the price increases tomorrow.
I don’t always go around endorsing conferences. But if you’ve never been to a conference or if you’re on the fence about attending the Vancouver TRAFFIC conference next month, here’s my message: do it. But you should register today to take advantage of the $395 conference pass (the price goes up $200 tomorrow).

Answering Five Questions about TRAFFIC Vegas -
Answering last week’s questions.
Last week I posed five questions that would be answered at the TRAFFIC conference in Las Vegas. We now have the answers:
1. Is Latona’s ready for primetime? Unfortunately not. Although I’m not sure why it didn’t work, I know there were internet connectivity issues with the hotel. It also appears that the web application got slammed with traffic and couldn’t handle the load. I’m sure Rick Latona will fill us in when ... read more ...

Scenes From TRAFFIC, Day Two -
Scenes and highlights from day two of the Targeted Traffic conference in Las Vegas.
Yesterday was certainly an interesting one at the TRAFFIC Conference. The best moment of the conference was seeing how packed the auction room was for the start of the live auction. I haven’t seen that many buyers at a live auction in a long time. Unfortunately, we all know now that it took a turn for the worse as Latonas.com auction system was overburdened by traffic, bringing ... read more ...

Scenes from Opening Night of TRAFFIC Conference -
TRAFFIC gets underway in Las Vegas.
I woke up this morning to a beautiful view of snow capped mountains from my hotel room at the Hard Rock. It’s beautiful today, but yesterday was one of those freak weather days in Las Vegas where it rained. That spelled trouble for airlines, and I ended up arriving after most of yesterday’s opening sessions at TRAFFIC.
But the people who attended the networking sessions said they got a lot out of them, and it certainly jump ... read more ...

5 Domain Industry Questions to Be Answered in Next 72 Hours -
This week’s TRAFFIC event will answer some questions.
Well, I’m off to Vegas.
I’m excited to attend the updated T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conference. But unlike Ron, I’m not stoked about having two conferences back-to-back. Perhaps it’s because I live in the middle of the country (not coming from the East coast) and have a small child.
Nonetheless, business is business. OK, and a bit of fun.
For the next 72 hours, it’s all about TRAFFIC. Here are five questions ... read more ...

How To: Submit Domains to TrafficZ Auction -
With the exception of some branding issues, submission process is easy.
I just finished submitting a half dozen domains to TrafficZ’s first live auction to be held at the TRAFFIC conference next month in Brooklyn. The submission process is done completely via a web based system and is easy to follow.
In fact, the only confusion you might encounter is branding. You’ll probably think of this auction as the TrafficZ auction. TrafficZ is part of Thought Convergence. ... read more ...
