Exclusive: GoDaddy's 2016 Super Bowl Ad! - Take a look at this year’s GoDaddy Super Bowl ad before the big game airs. In a worldwide exclusive for Domain Name Wire, we have obtained an advance copy of this year’s GoDaddy Super Bowl ad. GoDaddy has been advertising during the Super Bowl since 2005, and I can’t imagine what a Super Bowl would be like without the company’s controversial commercials. Many years GoDaddy had to switch its ad plans to please the censors, infuriating GoDaddy founder Bob Parsons. Last year’s ad didn’t ... read more ...

GoDaddy's Super Bowl Commercial will be the many argumentative nonetheless [Watch] - Here’s proof you can have controversy without nudity. If you thought its move from sexy commercials to one featuring a puppy dog meant the company was shying away from controversy, you’re in for a bit of a surprise. How GoDaddy found Gwen, a lady who quit her pursuit in a Super Bowl Commercial - How GoDaddy found is puppet master. GoDaddy’s first half Super Bowl Commercial tonight featured Gwen Dean, who announced in the commercial that she was quitting her job to follow her dreams of running a puppeteer business. That’s a heck of a way to start a business, especially when 100 million people see your web address, PuppetsByGwen.com. I’m sure lots of people would appreciate the same exposure. So just how did Gwen end up being the “lucky quitter?” It ... read more ...

The intriguing GoDaddy .co Super Bowl blurb (with a Danica Patrick cameo) - GoDaddy.co Super Bowl commercial is very different from its predecessors. Last night .co tweeted a link to its Super Bowl commercial. I’ve watched it a few times (it’s embedded below) so I can fully grasp what’s going on. The basic idea makes sense: a lot of other people have your same idea for a web site. Go register it today. But from there I make these observations: 1. The ad doesn’t really promote .co that much. Sure, .co sits on the screen the whole time, ... read more ...

GoDaddy.co Gets Ready and Network Solutions Piggybacks - Lots of mainstream attention on domain names today. We’re just hours away from Go Daddy’s Super Bowl commercials and a huge plug for the .co domain. I really have no idea who the GoDaddy.co girl is. My guess is it’s not someone from Colombia, but that’s about all I have at this point. I’m thinking that Go Daddy might not actually show who the .co girl is on the TV commercial and instead send viewers to their web site to see the revealing. This would ... read more ...
