Houses.co.uk leads premium domain name auction.
Moniker’s “make up” auction from last week’s Barcelona conference has found a home for five more domains on top of the multi-million dollar sale of Data.com to Salesforce.com. Data.com was pulled from the auction after Salesforce.com made a significant offer on the domain name.

Afternic.com Sells $700k In Domains Led By Chop.com For $60k - Afternic.com just released its sales for the week ending Sunday June 12th. All reportable domain sales $1k and over totalled $701,219. The top seller of the week was Chop.com at $60,000 followed by Antonio.net at $11,000.

No price chopping with Chop.com.
Oversee.net has sold Chop.com from its owned and operated portfolio with the help of Afternic.
A UK company that appears to be a battery importer purchased the domain name for $60,000. As of right now the domain name still resolves to a DomainSponsor parked page.
Chop.com was by far Afternic’s biggest sale of the week, although it has the usual strong list of four figure domains. Here are some of the top ones:

Go Daddy Triples Auction Fees to 15% -
Auction fees go up as domains get more exposure.
Go Daddy Auctions has increased its sales commission three-fold from 5% to 15%.
This change was noticed by Hybrid Domainer earlier today.
The auction price increase makes sense given that auction listings now show up in the registration path when someone searches for the exact domain name on Go Daddy.
A Premium Listing carries a 30% commission while the typical auction listing only cost 5% until now. This is steep ... read more ...

Gary Chernoff Sells AdNet.com for $60,000 -
Chernoff strikes again.
Gary Chernoff has made another big domain name sale with AdNet.com for $60,000.
The updated whois information shows that RevNet bought the domain name. RevNet bills its business as the “Worlds 1st On-Demand Data Monetization Platform for businesses and publishers.”
The company owns another “net.com” domain, CallNet.com.

MediaOptions.com Brokers Adventure.com For $200K & Has Brokered $17 Million in Domains In The Last 18 Months - MediaOptions.com just brokered the sale of the domain name Adventure.com for $200,000
The buyer of the domain is Eric Borgos who as we noted a few weeks ago is on a bit of a shopping spree.
Eric has purchased Physical.com for $42,500, Humidifiers.com for $50K, Pastries.com for $12,500 and AdvertisingAgency.com for $33,000 all within the last month or so.
The Seller was Knowledge Adventure Corporation a children’s educational games company.

Technical Problems Postpone Moniker Auction -
Auction postponed after web sites go down.
If you tried to reach most of Oversee.net’s web sites this morning — Oversee.net, SnapNames, or Moniker — you probably ran into difficulty.
The timing couldn’t have been worse for the company, which was scheduled to run a live domain name auction from Barcelona this morning U.S. time.
The company has officially announced that the auction will be postponed, but the new date hasn’t been set.

Data.com Sold For An Amount “Significantly In Excess Of The $1.5 Million Reserve” - I just got an email from Oversee saying that the domain name Data.com, which was scheduled to be in tomorrow’s DomainFest live auction sold privately today.
The domain name Data.com was one of our picks to sell at the auction.
The domain had a reserve range of $1M-$5M but according to the announcement the actual reserve was $1.5 Million.
The actual selling price was not disclosed.

Is ETF.com Worth $9.5 Million? -
A big market but a big price tag.
From a Covestor today comes this sales pitch for ETF.com.
Asking price: $9.5 million.
The domain is being brokered by a Seattle outfit called Broadmoor Associates. I’ve never heard of them before, and they don’t list any names on their web site, but apparently they’ve been the exclusive broker of some good names (and some rather poor names) in the past.

Premium legal domain name now for sale.
Andrew Miller, well known in the domain name community for his role at Internet Real Estate Group, is brokering the sale of Lawsuits.com through his company ATM Holdings, Inc. The asking price seems reasonable at $275,000.
The domain name is owned by a New Jersey man.

Mike Mann’s DomainMarket.com Sells 4 More .Co Domains Totaling $85K - Mike Mann just posted on his Facebook page a few recent sales from DomainMarket.com and topping the list were 4 .Co domain names totaling $85,000 in sales.
In all according to his Facebook, DomainMarket.com posted over $110K in sales in the last two weeks, including the 4 .Co domains “which were a package deal”.

WebsiteHosting.com Purchased For $190K In Jan Just Sold For $415,000 - A blogger, Mike Jackness, has just written a post about how he just sold the domain name WebSiteHosting.com which he purchased in just January of this year for $190,000 for a whopping $415,000.
Since acquiring the domain, he turned down in a style that would make even the Domain King proud offers of $250K and $300K and $401,000 before agreeing to sell the domain for $415,000:

Afternic Sells $850K In Domains Led By One Of Ours; TheFit.com during $31K -
The top seller of the week was one of our domain names, TheFit.com, that sold for $30,900.
QIS.com was a close 2nd at $27,000 with glggroup.com selling for $14,800.
Non-com’s had a pretty good week as well, with Loan.cc selling for $13,500, Pronto.Net selling for $12,500 and Cfl.org selling for $12K.

Internet.Co Sells For $40,000 On Sedo.com: Whiskey.Co Sells For $14K & Becomes a Latest In A String of Alcohol Related .Co Sales - The domain name Internet.co has become the latest .Co domain to sell on Sedo.com
The domain name Internet.Co sold for $40,000, the second highest recent sale to Mike Mann sale of Business.co for $80,000 a few weeks ago.
In my opnion a pretty nice sale for an extension less than a year old, by contrast I got Internet.biz on the original allocation back in March 2002 and since have less than 5 offers on the domain and nothing close to the $40K that the .Co just sold for.

OrangeJuice.com Sells For $44,800 On NameJet.com - The much hyped no reserve auction just ended at NameJet.com for the domain name OrangeJuice.com with a winning bid of $44,800.
Although there were 517 people in the auction only 7 were willing to bid $20K or more for the domain.
The domain was advertised on the front page of NameJet.com with a banner ad for a few weeks and I even received an email from Network Solutions (a NameJet.com partner) promoting the auction.

Cupid.com Buys The Domain Name Cupidon.com For $280,000 - According to an article in business7.co.uk, Cupid.com a company located in Scotland just acquired the domain name Cupidon.com for £175,000 which coverts into $280,000 Dollars.
Cupidon is the French equivalent word for cupid.
In Feburary of this year Cupid acquired the operating site IndianDating.com for $200,000.
IndianDating.com, had around 600,000 members at the time of acquisition.
