One Guys Registered 15 Domains At $12,500 On .Loans/.Credit - .Loans and .Credit were two of the new gTLD extensions that went into the 1st day of the Early Access Program for collision domain names (EAP) Period yesterday and one guy, Ken Bramon of KB Productions Kirkland Canada spent around $180,000 registering new gTLD domain names. Centralnic passes Donuts as Backend Provider For New gTLD Domain Names - According to ntldsstats.com, CentralNic has passed Donuts in the number of domain names it is providing backend registry services for new gTLD domains. ntldstats.com is showing CentralNic having 1,426,647 new gTLD’s under its backend management while Donuts is sitting at 1,425,466 domain names, each representing about 20% of all new gTLD’s. Google Didn't Even Contact BMW To Offer To Buy Alphabet.com - According to a story today in the KansasCity.com, it seems that Google did not even contact BMW, that owns the domain name  Alphabet.com, to see if they would sell it before going with abc.xyz The article quotes a spokesman at BMW, who said “that the automaker was not informed ahead of time of plans by Page and Brin to create a company called Alphabet and had not received any offers to buy the Internet domain or the trademark”.
