“Ah, Puket, let’s file this case and hope they don’t show up.”
Clothing company IMB Textil S.A., which uses the domain name puket.com.br, has been found guilty of Reverse Domain Name Hijacking (RDNH) for trying to steal Puket.com through UDRP.
Frank Schilling parked the domain name Puket.com, an alternative spelling of Phuket in Thailand, and it showed links related to to island.

.Radio contention set resolved and .art still up in the air.
European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has won the contention set for .Radio after prevailing in a Community Priority Evaluation (CPE) for the string.
That means Donuts, Afilias and BRS Media (with Minds + Machines as the back end) are out of the running for the .radio top level domain name.
EBU scored 14 points out of a possible 16. 14 points are required in order to prevail.

“Baseless” complaint was a “foolish waste of time”.
Three related hair care products companies have been found guilty of reverse domain name hijacking after trying to steal the domain name Verb.com through a UDRP.
Verb Products Inc., Verb Hair Products Canada Inc., and Moroccanoil Israel Ltd. filed the complaint with the assistance of law firm Conkle, Kremer Engel, PLC.

Aborted Sedo understanding blamed on domain burglary in engaging soccer domain name case -
Domain theft, a cancelled Sedo sale and Spain’s national soccer league.
Liga de Fútbol Profesional, the Spanish soccer league with 42 teams, has lost a UDRP over the domain name LaLiga.com.
“La Liga” translates to the dictionary term “league”, but the WIPO panelist who heard the case agreed that the term had acquired secondary meaning. The soccer league has multiple trademarks on the term.

Google Sued For Trademark Infringement Over Google Plus By Owned Of Googabox.com - Andre Rossouw filed a lawsuit against Google over its Google Plus service claiming it violates its own trademark for GOOGABOX. The Plaintiff’s also own the the domain name GOOGABOX.com.

Nominet Handles 674 Domain Complaints Down 17%; 55% Result in Domain Transfer - Nominet the company that operates the .co.uk and now the .uk domain name extension (ccTLD) just released its report for its Dispute Resolution Service in 2013 (DRS).
In 2013 Nominet handled 674 complaints down 17% from 2012 although the number of domain names registered increase 2,7%
Brands using the DRS in 2013 included Lego, Swarovski, Cash Converters, O2, Virgin, L’Oreal, Coast Fashions, Barclays and St Johns Ambulance.

Domain name financier condemned to jail for taxation fraud -
Australian man was active on domain name forums.
A domain name investor who was active on various domain name forums has been sentenced to jail for defrauding Australian tax authorities.
Michael Purse spent tens of thousands of dollars buying expired domain names, District Court Judge Steven Millsteed said. The judge said Purse got $130,134 in illegal refunds for several businesses he set up to buy the domains, reports PerthNow.

Popular bulletin board site 4chan has lost a case it filed to get the domain name 4chan.com.
4chan, LLC, which operates the top 1,000 site 4chan.org, filed the complaint with World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) against Oversee.net back in March.
