Total domain sales for the week, including confidential sales and sales under $1,000, summed to $1,779,357.
Sales were led by Likers.com for $28,0000 and Rah.com for $20K.
Non .com sales were led by Fn.net which sold for $15,050

GoDaddy acquires webhosting association (mt) Media Temple -
GoDaddy gets foothold in more technical customer segment with latest acquisition.
GoDaddy has acquired Los Angeles-based webhosting company (mt) Media Temple, known simply as (mt), for an undisclosed price.
(mt) targets a more technical customer base than GoDaddy, and the two companies will remain distinctly separate. (mt) will continue to focus on a more technical/developer audience and will not take on any of GoDaddy’s branding.

GoDaddy announced another acquisition today, although the acquisition isn’t actually new.
In April the company quietly acquired invoicing company Ronin and has integrated the technology into its GoDaddy Online Bookkeeping product. The online bookkeeping product comes from GoDaddy’s earlier acquisition of Outright.

Godaddy Aftermarket Sells Over 40,000 Domains In Aug Led BY OPS.com At $100,000 - Godaddy.com has released its auction results for the month of August 2013 selling in all 1,000 more domains than in July.
In all 40,246 domain names sold on Godaddy.com auctions including all the expired domains.
In July Godaddy.com sold 1,000 less domain names at 39,264.
Of the 40,246 domains, 20,470 sold in auctions, 18,897 were Buy it Now Priced domains (BIN) and 810 were the result of offer/counter offer negotiations

Domain name registrar GoDaddy has filed two intent-to-use trademark applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, possibly tipping off slogans it plans to use in the future.
Application 86,038,967 is for “Name It. Make It. Own It.” This seems to jive with the company’s mission to help people get their business off the ground with web services.

Report: Godaddy Acquires Locu.com For $70 Million -
GoDaddy, said it had acquired San Francisco startup Locu according to Allthingsd.com
“While the company did not disclose the terms of the deal, sources close to the situation said it paid $70 million in cash and stock for the company.”
There are also earnouts for the two dozen employees of Locu going to GoDaddy.

GoDaddy Auctions sold 38,601 in July, according to the company’s Go Daddy Auctions Domain Market Report.
The top sale, which I’ve written about previously, was body.com for $380,000.
