Zacks upgraded shares of Verisign (NASDAQ:VRSN) from a sell rating to a hold rating in a research note released on Monday morning.

CNBC.com just covered the new gTLD roll out once again in a story entitled “Dot-com to .pizza: Welcome to the Web domain Rush” with a subtitle of “The Internet’s long-restricted virtual real estate market is open for business.”

There are 10 applicants for .Art and the ICANN auction is scheduled tentatively for July 2015.
.Art is the only new gTLD that is currently scheduled for an ICANN auction.

Eiffel-Tower.com had been the official site for the world-famous Paris landmark since at least 2007 according to Screenshots.com

An allegedly stolen three letter domain name has been returned to its previous owner through a UDRP cybersquatting claim.
Mountain View, California software company GPZ Technology, Inc. registered GPZ.com in 1996. The domain name was apparently stolen from its 11 domain name registrar account earlier this year and transferred to Registrar of Domain Names REG.RU LLC. GPZ provided a police report to the panel.

ICANN Could Be Privatized by a finish of a year - PCTechMag.com wrote an article that discussed ICANN being on its own by the end of the year. Fadi Chehade gave comments on Thursday that all the parts were in place for this to happen.
