1st Official New gTLD Registry Purchase As Radix Acquires .Tech - Radix a new gTLD registry announce today that is has acquire the new gTLD .Tech
The ICANN auction for .Tech was held last month with the winning bid of $6,760,000 being placed by dot Tech LLC, which is owned by the same principals of the company the operate the .UNO registry.
The other applicants for .Tech were Donuts, Uniregistry, Top Level Domain Holdings (Minds + Machines) and Google .
Radix either bought the registry post auction or pre-auction
Either way its a great win for Radix.

Curacao
The .an country code top-level domain (ccTLD) previously utilised by the Netherlands Antilles will be formally discontinued on 31 October, with the new .cw domain used in its place. Registration of .cw domains was made available from 1 February 2012, while the removal of inactive .an domain names started in earnest on 31 December 2013. The ccTLD is managed by the Computer Centre at the University of Curacao.

China.info Sells in Hexonet Drop Auction For $12K - A few days ago noted that the domain name China.info dropped.
The domain name was owned by Chinese nic the registry for the China .cn ccTLD.
We wrote that the domain name was not caught by any of the big drop catchers but by the domain name registrar hexonet.net.
I was informed today by Hexonet.net that the auction between 16 bidders ended today with the winning bid hitting 12,005.00 USD.
