Florida DOT Forgets To Renew FDOTDocuments.com Which Is “Now Owned By Germans” - According to mdwcomm.com, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) forgot to renew the domain name, FDOTDocuments.com, “which is featured on their new Toll-By-Plate billing mailers! and is now owned by Germans” Actually a company from Germany  “DomCollect AG” which the author of the article describes as a company which “has a history of domain hijacking” is now the owner of the domain and is using it as a parked page . ICANN to shift around top-level execs - ICANN, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, is shifting around some key executives, the organization said in a blog posted Thursday. Starting July 1, Akram Atallah, currently chief operating officer, will transition to a new role as president of the Generic Domains Division. .IO Domains Offline? - As reported on twitter and Hacker News, .IO domains have stopped resolving and apparently new registrations are not going through either. .IO is the ccTLD for the British Indian Ocean territory. The TLD is especially popular with startups. According to comments on the post, 5 of 7 nameservers are returning NXDOMAIN (=domain does not exist) for queries for IO domains. The scores on the TMCH doors: level of trademark owner engagement revealed - Deloitte has revealed the number of trademark owners and agents currently registered with the Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH). The news comes in the week that ICANN published the first responses to the recent GAC advice on the gTLD programme and L'Oréal became the latest company to withdraw a ‘.brand’ application.
