Go Daddy distributes millions in donations and prizes at annual holiday party.
Go Daddy held its annual holiday party in Phoenix this weekend.
As usual, it was a bit over the top.
It opened with a Psy impersonator who’s Gangnam Style performance was apparently good enough to fool some in the audience. The headline band this year was the B-52s.

Reuters: ITU: Russia Backed By China, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Sudan and a UAE Wants To Take Control Away From ICANN - Reuters, is reporting that Russian is backing a proposal with the support of China, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Sudan and the United Arab Emirates at the ITU is calling for sweeping new powers to regulate cyberspace.
The United States, Europe and other allies including Australia and Japan insist the treaty should continue to apply only to traditional telecommunications such as international wireline and wireless calls.

Google Blacklists Mike Mann’s MakeMillions.com Site Forcing Him To Abandon $10K Domain - Domain investor and serial entrepreneur Mike Mann published his book Make Millions Make Change in 2009 and has been giving it away for free on MakeMillions.com
Last week Google blacklisted the domain.
Mike Mann pulled the plug on MakeMillions.com in response and the domain name now does not resolve.
The domain MakeMillions.com cost Mike $10,000 and now lays dead due to Google’s arbitrary action.
Mike switched all the content that was on MakeMillions.com to MakeMillionsandmakechange.com

Frank Schilling’s NameAdministration Hit With A UDRP On ColdFront.com - Another day and another complaint filed against a generic term.
In this case its the NameAdministration owned domain name ColdFront.com that was hit with a UDRP complaint filed with The National Arbitration forum (NAB).
According to DomainTools.com, the domain name has been owned by Name Administration since at least 2003.
The domain name is generic of course and even has its own Wikipedia entry.

GUO.com Sells for $50,000 On NameJet.com, Capping Two Weeks of Sales Totaling Over $200K For FindYourDomain.com - The domain name Guo.com sold today on NameJet.com for $50,000
The auction had 301 bidders and 11 bidders willing to pay $10,000 or more.
Guo is one of the most popular surnames in China.
“The Guo family is one of the well known Hui clans around Quanzhou in Fujian, the other being the Ding family, they are examples of these Hui who identify as Muslim by nationality but do not practice Islam.

United/Contential Sues Owner Of Untied.com Used As A Gripe Site After 15 Years - According to the ChicagoTribune.com, United and Continental airlines, filed suit on Nov. 19, in both the Federal Court of Canada and Superior Court of Quebec. against the owner of Untied.com.
The domain name Untied.com, has been owned by a Canadian professor for 15 years and airs complaints from disgruntled United Airlines passengers and employees.
The filed allege the complaint site violates the airline’s copyright and trademarks.

Congress Passes A Resolution Unanimously 397-0 Calling On The US To Oppose UN Control of a Internet - The House of representatives voted today unanimously to pass Senate resolution S.Con.Res. 50 that calls on the U.S. government to oppose United Nations control of the Internet.
The Senate approved the resolution unanimously in September so the total Congressional vote was 397-0.
