Famous Four Media, the registry operator for Domain Venture Partners, announced today that they were the winning bidders at the private new gTLD auctions for the domain nams.RACING and .CRICKET.
Both domain extensions will be added to the portfolio of 17 registries in which Domain Venture Partners has ownership.
The other applicants for .Cricket were Top Level Domain Holdings Limited (Minds + Machines) and Donuts.
The other applicants for .Racing were Donuts and Uniregistry.

Daniel Negari Predicts 1 Million .XYZ Registrations In First Year ; “Its My Gift To The World” - In a blog post tonight the founder and CEO of the .XYZ registry made a bold of a prediction I have seen from any registry saying that; There is no doubt in my mind that the growth rate of .xyz will surpass the growth rate of .com. Shocker: Rick Schwartz Now Owns More New gTLD’s Domains Than we Do - On the Live Domain Sherpa show from TRAFFIC in Las Vegas, Rick Schwartz let the world know that he went on a buying binge with regards to new gTLD domains the past few days and now actually owns more new gTLD domains than I do.
As we sit today, my company Worldwide Media, Inc. owns 455 new gTLD domain names.
Mr. Schwartz who is a fellow Domain Sherpa, told the attendees at TRAFFIC that he went on a buying binge of new gTLD’s while in Las Vegas this week and now has over 500 new gTLD domain registrations.

.Ninja Wins The Week With 5,200 Registrations; .Rentals 5K+; .immobilien 4.5K; .Vacations 1,600 - Yesterday marked the first day of General Availability for several new domain extensions (new gTLD’s) and .Ninja led the way ending with 5,200 registrations.
Closely behind .Ninja was .Rentals which is sitting at 5,044 domains.
.immobilien which translates into “real estate” closed it first day with 4,500 registrations.

Donuts Pulled Back & Reserved Luxury.Villas During EAP After Orders Were Placed - Yesterday we wrote about how Godaddy.com didn’t award us the domain name Luxury.Villas which we ordered last week for registration on the 5th day of the Early Access Program (EAP)
OnlineDomain.com wrote about this domain as being priced at $13,500 for year of registration and renewal just three days ago while the EAP program was already going.
Now it seems the domain was reserved by the registry during the EAP period while there were pending orders

Godaddy Didn’t Wind Up Selling The $13.5K Luxury.Villas To Me For $169.99 After Taking My Money - Last week ago I put a pre-order for the domain name Luxury.Villas for the 5th day of the Early Access program for a total of $220, $150 for EAP 5 and a registration fee of $70.17.
I know that other registrars at the time where showing this domain name Luxury.Villas as a very expensive premium domain.
Hexonet for example had the domain for around $9,500 however when I check Godaddy the price was only $169.99, so I went ahead with the registration and Godaddy took my money.

If You Want a Great .Vacations Domain Bring Your Wallet & These Are Gone - .Vacations which went into the 5th day of the Early Access Program today, goes into General Availability on Wednesday with a host of other domain extensions.
In my opinion its the best of the Donuts domains this week.
I was taking a look at some great .Vacation domains and found that if you want one, your going to pay up as many of them carry high premium registration and renewal rates.

.Club is just short of 50,000 registrations while .Berlin is sitting just past 48,000

If Your Looking For A Generic .Democrat, They Are In Short Supply & Carry Premium Prices - I was going though some generic .Democrat new gTLD domain names yesterday to see what premium generic domains are available for Preregistrations as the extension goes live tomorrow.
Its expected that many candidates will grab their .Democrat domain name when running for office.

It is the 2nd most expensive new gTLD with a retail price of around $800 depending on the registrar which is second only to .Rich which has a registration price of $2,500 or more and has only 38 registrations to date.
