.Top which launched on the November 18th has according to ntldstats.com 10,298 domains registered.
The registry for .Top is “Jiangsu Bangning Science Technology Co.,Ltd.” which is also the backend for the extension and is also a domain name registrar
Out of the 10,298 domain names registered, Jiangsu registered 2,521 of the domains.

Aruba.It Formally Announces It Acquired .Cloud Beating Out Google & Amazon -
10 days ago we told you at TheDomains.com that Aruba S.p.A. (www.aruba.it) beat out Amazon, Google and Donuts to win the new gTLD .Cloud

Godaddy Becomes 1st Domain Registrar To Top 500,000 New gTLD Registrations - According to ntldstats.com, Godaddy.com has become the first domain name registration to have registered more than 500,000 domain names.
Godaddy has 500,091 new gTLD domain names under registration, 100,000 more than the second closest domain registrar, Network Solution which topped the 400,000 domain mark although around 377K of the 400,000 Network Solutions domain names were given to customers for for free.
As of the last update there are now 3,161,685new gTLD domain names registered.

The Government of Quebec Ends Its Participation In The .Quebec Days Before The Extension Launches -
According to ici.radio-canada.ca, the Government of Quebec has decided to end its participation in the new gTLD .Quebec, just days before .Quebec launches.
According to the story the Government has decided not to change Government websites to .Quebec and will instead retain all of its Website to end in .gouv.qc.ca .

.Realtor: Is it The Best Example Of How Slow End User Adoption Of New gTLD May Be? - The National Association of Realtors launched .Realtor about 3 weeks ago on October 23rd
To date there have been less than 85,000 .Realtor domain names registered.
The good news is that the extension has by far the lowest rate of parked domains with just over 1% of all .Realtor domain names being parked. According to ntldstats.com out of the 84,615 .Realtor domain names registered only 1,066 or 1.26% are “Parked”

More Details Emerge On New York’s Deal On .NYC: But 50K New Yorkers Did Not Register 50K Domains -
According to a post on crainsnewyork.com, the city of New York is making a “cool $40,000 a week on the Internet”.
According to the story, the City of New York collects 40% of all domain registration fees collected by Neustar the operator of the .NYC registry.
At a “cost of $20″ (which is unclear from the story if its retail or wholesale), “City Hall pulls in $8 every time a New Yorker buys a domain name that ends in .NYC.”

Symantec Withdraws their Uncontested Application for New gTLD .AntiVirus - Symantec Corporation has withdrawn their uncontested application for the new gTLD .Antivirus after saying it would become one of their “core assets” in their application.
From its application it appears Symantic wanted to operate the extension on a closed basis.
The Government Advisory Counsel (GAC) to ICANN objected to generic strings from being operated on a closed basis forcing most who had applied to operate on a closed basis to open them up to outside registrations.

Afnic Study Looks At Who Are The New G’s Affecting Most ? - Afnic.fr the registry for domain names in .fr put out a study that took a look at how is the proliferation of new gtlds affecting the existing gtld and cctlds that have been around for many years.

Dish Networks Beats Out Minds + Machines For The New gTLD .Latino - Another new gTLD that was schuduled to go to the ICANN Last Resort Auction next week had been settled privately.
Minds + Machines has withdrawn its application for the new gTLD .Latino leaving Dish Network as the sole applicant.
Minds + Machines put out a press release last week about how they made over 8.4 Million dollars losing 5 new gTLD auctions; book, .cloud, .dog, .site, and .style.

Just hitting ICANN’s site today, Google has withdrawn its application for .Earth
The remaining applicant is Interlink Co., Ltd. of Japan also known as Urban Brain.
The new gTLD was set to go to auction later this month.

Donuts Beat Microsoft & Google For .Live - According to ICANN’s site both Google (GOOG) and Microsoft (MSFT) have withdrawn their application for the new gTLD .Live, leaving .Donuts as the winner of the .Live new gTLD.
