ICANN publishes updated new TLD Auction schedule -
Delays now require all-party consent, so contention set resolution should accelerate.
ICANN has published an updated “auction of last resort” schedule for new top level domain names.
It’s harder for individual applicants to postpone these auctions now that the framework for handling name collisions is finalized.

Unfiltered tweet feed on ICANN website pokes fun at .xyz giveways.
Like many meetings/conferences, ICANN publishes a tweetstream on its page for each meeting. That includes the site for the upcoming ICANN 51 meeting in Los Angeles, which pulls in all tweets with the hashtag #icann51.
The conference is still a couple months away, so you won’t find many relevant tweets about the event. It’s also an unfiltered feed.

.Mail Gets Added To .Home and .Corp As Strings Killed Off By Collision - According to a resolution of the ICANN Board the .Mail has joined .Home and .Corp as extension that will not be delegated as part of the collision report.
.Mail was basically killed off as part of the “ICANN NAME COLLISION OCCURRENCE MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK” which is putting into place a plan which will start the process of freeing up domain names on the Collision list:

Fadi Chehadé Gets Two Year Extension & 12.5% Pay Raise From ICANN - The contract of President and Chief Executive Officer Fadi Chehadé has been extended by ICANN for two more years.
Chehadé’s base salary will increase by 12.5 percent.
Faidi contract with ICANN now expires 30 June 2017.

CEO of .In (India) Alleges 40% of ccTLD’s Left Out Of IANA Transition Coordination Group - According to a press release we received today from Dr Govin who is the CEO of the .IN ccTLD Registry which is the ccTLD for India is claiming that about 40% of all ccTLD’s are being left out of the IANA Transition Coordination Group as part of ICANN’s plan to move away from US oversight.
Basically Dr. Govin says that 104 of the 259 ccTLD are not being representative in this process.

ICANN Updates New gTLD Collision Auction Schedule; Here Is The New 2014 Schedule -
ICANN has published an updated schedule of the ICANN Last Resort Auction for those new gTLD in Collision.
ICANN will hold a Last Resort Auction for new gTLD strings that had more than one application and which have not settled the contention through private auctions or otherwise.

Verification requirement ensnares hundreds of thousands of domain names.
One of the requirements for domain name registrars under the 2013 Registrar Accreditation Agreement is that they must verify the contact details of registrants.

Namejet & RightOfTheDot Team Up For .Global Auction Event During ICANN London - Namejet.com just announced it has teamed up with RightoftheDot.com to hold a Online/Live auction during the ICANN London Conference for over 90 premium .Global domain names

ICANN Opens Comment Period On Allowing Two Character New gTLD Domains - ICANN has just opened up a comment period on whether new gTLD strings should be allowed to register, sell and allocate two character new gTLD domain names i.e (LL, NN, NL, LN)
This exact comment period concerns those registries including Donuts that asked ICANN to allow these two charterer domains to be registered
