Donuts wins .photography auction -
Donuts won the private auction for the .photography top level domain name.
Of the six new top level domain name auctions Donuts participated in this past week, the company walked away with at least one top bid.
Domain Name Wire has confirmed that Donuts won the auction for .photography. It was in contention with Top Level Design, a company that applied for ten top level domains.
Top Level Design is lead by Ray King, who co-founded drop catching service SnapNames.

1st Private Auction May Be Complete As Donuts Withdraws Its 1st New gTLD Application: .Vote - Donuts has withdrawn its 1st new gTLD of the 307 applications it filed with ICANN.
This certainly could be the result of a private auction which are underway this week.
There is only one other applicant for the new gTLD .Vote and that company application, under the name of Monolith Registry LLC was filed by Afilias which operates the .info TLD.
Donuts application which is now withdrawn is under the corporate name Double Falls, LLC which had a prioritization number of 663.

Demand Media wants to heading name for domain name heading insurance service -
New TLD applicant files trademark applications fro DPML.
Demand Media subsidiary United TLD has filed six trademark applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office related to its proposed Domain Protected Marks List (DPML).
Three of the applications are for the full term “Domain Protected Marks List ” and the other three are for “DPML”. The applications were filed on an intent-to-use basis on May 15.

Final new TLD conflict tally: Donuts 55, Amazon 24, Google 22 -
Three of the largest applicants for new TLDs are facing a mountain of objections.
Donuts, Amazon, and Google have the dubious honor of having the most objected-to applications for new top level domains.
There were 263 formal objections to new top level domains, and that doesn’t include GAC advice.
Donuts received 55 objections covering 45 unique objections, which means about one out of seven of its 307 applications are facing an objection.

Breaking: Donuts Passes ICANN Initial Evaluation For New gTLD’s - Donuts the largest applicant for new gTLD program has passed the Initial Evaluation of ICANN new gTLD program.
Donuts applied for 307 new gTLD domain names including the IDN for the string: 商店
This is the first new gTLD application filed by Donuts to be evaluated by ICANN.

Wall Street Journal names new TLD association Donuts to Top 50 Startups -
WSJ ranks Donuts #14 on list of top startups.
The Wall Street Journal just released its rankings of the top 50 venture-capital-backed companies, and new top level domain name company Donuts made the cut.
It actually did better than just make the cut, landing at #14 on the list. It’s also the youngest company on the list.

Demand Media and Donuts respond to lawyer’s accusations about TLD eligibility -
