Is A Domain Hack Worth 10x More Than The Correct Domain? Banco.co Vs. Ban.co - One of the results that caught my eye coming out of the .co Land Rush auctions was the result for Banco.co a natural domain compared to Ban.co a hack.
Both domain names were the subject of Land Rush auctions but the results were quite different.
Banco.co sold for just $2,300 a couple of weeks ago, at a land rush auction but the auction for Ban.co just concluded with a sales price of $24,500 more than 10X the sales price of the “correct” domain.
So is a hack worth 10X more than a natural domain?

Ontario.com Domain Name Sold for 6 Figures -
Canadian province domain name sells.
Justin Godfrey of DIS, Inc tells Domain Name Wire that he has sold the domain name Ontario.com for an undisclosed six figure amount. Ontario is the most populated province in Canada with over 13 million residents. Toronto is located in Ontario. Given the size of Ontario, I suspect the deal was fairly substantial.
The domain name was sold to a domain investor, but the whois hasn’t been updated yet to reflect the buyer’s identity.

Epik Conference Kicks off in Seattle -
First ever Epik DevCon gets underway.
The Epik Developers Conference kicked off last night with a welcome reception at the Edgewater hotel in Seattle.
Right off the bat I’d say this is the coolest hotel for any domain name conference I’ve attended. The hotel is on the water — literally. It’s on a pier. You could literally drop a fishing line out the window and go fishing. (In fact, there’s a famous photo of The Beattles doing just that at the hotel).
