Frank Schillings Name Administration Hit With UDRP On WalkTheWalk.com - A UDRP has just been filed against Frank Schilling’s Name Administration on the domain name WalkTheWalk.com.
The company filing the complaint is Walk the Walk Worldwide, whose site is at WalkTheWalk.org
According to the organization’s site it operates a charity since 1998 centered in the UK.
Walk the Walk Worldwide has two trademark registered with the USPTO for walk the walk, one in September 2009 filed in 2007 and one registered in 2004 which was filed in 2001.

National Arbitration Forum (NAF) has released its official numbers for 2012 UDRP cases.
Combined with World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO) results, the number of UDRP cases filed last year appears to have edged up slightly.
NAF reported a total of 2,060 cases for 2012 last year, which was 22 fewer than in 2011. WIPO earlier reported 2,884 cases, up from 2,764 in 2011.

Company that filed UDRP uses a truly awful domain name.
Often times a company files a UDRP because they’re using an inferior domain to the one they want.
For example, cases are filed in which the complainant owns a .tv or .net domain and the respondent owns the .com. Of course, the reason the complainant originally registered the other domain was because the .com was already taken.

Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre second to sign up with ICANN for rapid domain suspension system.
ICANN has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Asian Domain Name Dispute Resolution Centre (ADNDRC) to be a provider under Uniform Rapid Suspension (URS).

Mike Mann’s Domain Asset Holdings Loses UDRP On UniversalAssistance.com - Universal Assistance S.A. of Buenos Aires, Argentina, just won a UDRP against Mike Mann’s Domain Asset Holdings, LLC on the domain name UniversalAssistance.com
The Complainant had a trademark on the term, Universal Assistance since 1994 but the panel seemed to be willing to give them a common law right to the term even if they didn’t have the trademark.

Purva.com Bought In May 2012 Saved in UDRP: Godaddy Placeholder May Have Saved It - The Complainant is Puravankara Projects Limited of Bangalore, Karnataka, India, just lost a UDRP on the domain name purva.com which turns out to be a pretty interesting case with a long fact pattern.
The domain was orinally owned by the Complaintant who lost it many years ago do to non-renew it appears.

NiceCar.com Owned For 13 Years Lost in Horrible UDRP Decision - In another horribly lazy opinion, the domain name NiceCar.com was just awarded to NICE CAR, INC. by a one member UDRP panelist Sandra J. Franklin to a trademark holder.
