Famous Four alleges couple between panelist and competition for .Sport -
Company says panelist that killed its .sport application had a conflict of interest.
Last fall Famous Four Media saw its plans to run a .sport top level domain dashed after a panelist found in favor of rival applicant SportAccord in a community objection.
Famous Four appealed the decision to ICANN through a reconsideration request and lost.
Now the company is claiming (pdf) it has found ties between the panelist that decided the case and SportAccord.

Objection panel rules that the the sport community would face material detriment for a .sports domain name.
Well, at least this decision is consistent. Except it isn’t.
An International Chamber of Commerce panelist has upheld SportAccord’s community objection against Donuts’ application to run the .sports top level domain name.

Uh oh: .Basketball village conflict fails, .sport prevailed. -
Panelist in .basketball decision uses different interpretation of guidelines to come up with a different conclusion than panelist in .sport.
An International Chamber of Commerce panelist has determined that community objections filed against two applications for .basketball have failed. Comparing this decision to a recent one upholding a community objection to .sport, it appears we may have another case of inconsistent rulings.

.Sport Whines Again: Please Don’t Allow .Football! -
Group again asks ICANN to not allow any individual sports to get top level domain names.
Last August the so-called .Sport Policy Advisory Council (basically a group that wants to launch the .sport top level domain name) told ICANN it was unhappy with the idea that there could be individual sports (such as .baseball) as top level domains. At the time, the .Sport Policy Advisory Council wrote:

dotSPORT Continues the Trademark Frontrunning -
Company tries to get leg up in new TLD process with trademarks.
I’ve written a couple times about prospective new top level domain applicants trying to trademark the names of their proposed TLD (e.g. .eco).
But it appears dotSport LLC, one of the companies going after what will likely be a competition for .sport, is being quite aggressive.

.Sport Asks, Just What is a Top Level Domain? -
.Sport questions the definition of “top level”.
If the .Sport Policy Advisory Council has its way, Shaq won’t be able to get his hands on the .basketball TLD.
In a letter to ICANN Chairman Peter Dengate-Thrush and CEO Rod Beckstrom, the .Sport Policy Advisory Council suggests that a top level domain name should be the very top of a category, and anything less than that would diminish the importance of top level domain names.
