Sedo’s earnings: domain business shrinks 18% as associate business grows -
Sedo’s domain parking business continues to drag on overall company. Sales of domains are down, too.
Sedo Holding released its Annual Report yesterday (pdf), and the numbers for the domain name business are fairly dismal.
Sedo Holding has two parts: domain marketing (Sedo) and affiliate marketing (affilinet).
First, the good news: Affilinet saw its revenue grow 17.7% year-over-year.
Now, the bad news: The bad news: Sales at Sedo in 2012 droped 17.9%.

Sedo adjusts gain superintendence down, though there’s a china backing for domain parkers -
Sedo paying out more to top domain parking clients.
Sedo Holding has lowered its earnings forecast for the current year due to “confirming margin development in Domain Marketing in the second quarter 2012.”
While this may seem like a bad thing, there’s a silver lining for some of Sedo’s larger domain parking clients. When asked for comment, Sedo.com CEO Tobias Flaitz told Domain Name Wire:

Sedo Domain Revenue Falls Thanks to Domain Parking -
Revenue down as domain parking continues to slide.
Sedo Holding’s revenue from its domain name segment fell 6.3% in the first quarter of 2011 compared to the same quarter in 2010, the company disclosed in a financial report (pdf) today.
As with results reported in its annual report for last year, the company blames falling domain name parking revenues for the decline.
