This week’s end user report for Sedo sales it full of big name companies. In addition to those in the headline, you’ll see purchased by Philips, Genentech, Intel, and Fujifilm Australia.

Sedo.com Weekly Transactions Total $1.2 Million/ $32.7 Million For The Year - Sedo just reported 743 transactions took place on Sedo’s marketplace and via SedoMLS, totaling $1.2m.
Sedo also reported that their “annual year-to-date sales revenue” was $32.7 Million however as we know the weekly Sedo reports include transaction they just act as escrow agents on and I’m not sure if this figure includes solely sales or includes all transaction.
Just under 47% of total sales were the result of Buy Now listings which I think is a new record for Sedo.

Kim Dotcom buys K.im domain name for $20,000 -
Mega Upload founder buys short (and expensive) domain name.
Last month I wrote about how k.im had received a $20,000 bid at Sedo, and suggested that Mega Upload founder Kim Dotcom might be the buyer.
I was right.
The Sedo auction closed for $20,000 and Kim Dotcom is now the owner listed in whois. The domain is registered at Instra, which is one of his key partners for the new Mega.

Marchex releases some-more sum about Archeo spinoff -
SEC filing details plans for spin-off of domain business.
Later this year, Marchex hopes to spin off its pay-per-click and domain name business into a new publicly traded business called Archeo. It will trade on the NASDAQ under the ticker ACHX.
It released more information about Archeo in a June 7 SEC filing.

Afternic.com Sells $2.3 Million In Domains Led By One Of Ours WOI.com For $35K - Afternic’s just reported its weekly domain sales for the previous two weeks (5/20/13 – 6/2/13).
Total domain sales including confidential sales and sales under $1000, summed to $ 2,267,480.

CrowdFunding.com Sells For “About” $170,000 - According to AllThingsD.com the domain name CrowdFunding.com has been sold for “about” $170,000.
The buyer of the domain name is GoFundMe.com which bought the domain but doesn’t plan on changing the name of its site.

Interesting: Nokta Domains’ 18 leased domains from May -
Nokta’s typical lease is about $100 a month.
When you think of domain leasing, you probably think of big ticket domains that companies couldn’t buy outright so they opted for a lease instead.
But it’s not just expensive domains that people are leasing.

CollegeStudent.com Sells For $17K On NameJet.com - The domain name CollegeStudent.com which was a dropped domain, sold this week on NameJet.com for $17,700 as three bidders battled it out bidding over $10,000 for the domain.
A very nice educational domain and a good buy.
The domain was owned by a company by the name of Abode Development which had owned the domain since at least 2001 and now gets nothing for it.

Company that applied for seven new TLDs buys a coveted two letter domain name.
UK Financial firm IG Group has acquired the domain name IG.com, which was previously used by a Brazilian search portal.
According to IP Pro The Internet, the company announced the deal to the press, although I can’t locate the actual announcement nor any information about the deal other than the IP Pro article. Even the IP Pro article does not yet appear to be indexed in Google.

Sedo is starting to more aggressively promote services to new top level domain applicants, including adding a couple ad banners targeting them on its home page.

Girl.me gets $30,000 bid during Sedo -
An eye-popping price tag, but many .me domains have sold in this price range.
The domain name Girl.me has a $30,000 offer at Sedo and has been sent to an auction.
Although errant bids sometimes occur on Sedo, my guess is this is legit.
In order to place a bid of $10,000 or more you need to submit a number of documents, including a bank statement or utility bill and a copy of a government issued photo ID.
Besides, $30,000 for Girl.me isn’t an outlier.
