BXSP.com Sold By BuyDomains Days Ago On Afternic For $2K Winds Up WIth Blackstone Who Has Over 28 Billion In Assets - The domain name BXSP.com which sold just a few days ago and was listed on Afternic weekly report we published on Tuesday, wound up in the hands of one of the largest investment firms in the world, The Blackstone Group of Park Ave New York.
In 2012, The Blackstone Group had revenues of Over 3.6 Billion and had assets of over $28 Billion.
I guess it would not be an understatement to say the domain holder may have left a few dollars on the table.

Marchex sells TheRack.com, substantially to Nordstrom -
Mark Monitor group acquires retail domain name.
Based on whois records, it appears that Marchex has sold the domain name TheRack.com.
My money is on Nordstrom buying it for its Nordstrom Rack outlet stores, sometimes called “The Rack”.
Although the whois information for the domain shows Name Advisers Inc. as the owner, Name Advisers is affiliated with brand protection registrar Mark Monitor. Nordstrom uses Mark Monitor for its domain names.

Sedo and GoDaddy auctions end today starting at noon EDT.
Two top level domain name-specific domain auctions end today.
Sedo is auctioning off 50 .info domain names, all with reserve prices under 500 euros.
The auction ends at noon EDT today. At the time of posting (10:30 AM PDT) 42 domains have bids and seven domain names have hit their reserves. The top domains so far are:

Nokta Domains sole 44, leased 7 domain names in June -
Company publishes list of June domain name transactions.
Domain name seller Nokta Domains closed a total of 51 public transactions in June, according to the company’s blog.
It leased 7 domain names and sold 44.
The leases range from $10 to $150, which suggests that most lessees wanted to buy the domains, but simply couldn’t afford them even at relatively low prices.
The top sale was AltinFiyatlari.com for $17,600.

Body.com sold for a loss, plus the .biz registry buys a .com in this week’s Sedo end user sales roundup.
Sedo’s big sales week was led by the $380,000 sale of Body.com. The domain was sold through Sedo’s partnership with GoDaddy.
This is the second time Sedo has cashed in selling the domain. In 2009 it sold the domain name for $400,000 on behalf of Live Current Media.

Sedo released a report today with statistics about the .co aftermarket. The report is timed to coincide with the three year anniversary of .co being relaunched as a global generic domain.
The results (pdf) look very strong.
Since .co’s relaunch, Sedo has been involved with $2.6 million worth of .co domain name sales.

Frank Schilling’s DomainNameSales.com Announces $5.5MM Of Domain Sales For 1st Six Months Of 2013 - As reported by TNTnames.com, Frank Schilling’s DomainNameSales.com, released its reportable sales for the first six months of 2013.
Total combined sales were $5,502,211.
This total includes $4,658,329 worth of sales from Frank Schilling’s Name Administration inventory which is their privately owned inventory, as well as $843.882 of partner sales.
The highest domain sale was BoatsForSale.com for $162,500 followed by shelves.com for $83,000.

Tucows sells AHN.org for $50,000 to hospital system.
Healthcare provider and insurance company Highmark spent $50,000 for the AHN.org domain name, topping Afternic’s list of reportable sales for last week.
The domain name is the acronym for Allegheny Health Network, which Highmark announced in April as the new name for a Pittsburgh hospital system anchored by West Penn Allegheny.

Body.com Sells On Godaddy.com For $380,000 - The domain name Body.com just sold on GoDaddy’s aftermarket for $380,000.
This was listed via Godaddy’s partnership with Sedo and sold from GoDaddy.com as a make offer listing.
The seller appears to have been Red Trend Limited out of Hong Kong.
The domain was last sold back in 2009 for $400,000 by Live Current Media on Sedo’s Great Domains site.
This is the 2nd highest domain sale ever recorded by Godaddy.com

Afternic.com reportable weekly domain sales report for the week of 6/17/13 – 6/23/13 is out total sales including confidential sales and sales under $1000, summed to $1,157,605.
All sales were led by Emeraude.com which is the French word for Emerald and yes I had to look it up.
The seller of the domain was Tucows.
The second highest sale of the week was LuxuryClub.com, which was sold by Mike Mann’s Domain Asset Holdings.
In non-.com sales Jasmin.Tv led the way at $12,000

Sedo.com just released their domain transactions for the week 06/16/13 – 06/23/13 totaling $1.57M.
The highest priced transaction was offmarket.com at $41,000 followed by meaning.com and OSA.com which sold for $20,000 each.
OffMarket.com was sold by Garry Chernoff.
In all, 829 transactions took place on Sedo’s marketplace and via SedoMLS.
Just under 35% of total sales were the result of Buy Now listings.

XM.com Purchased By XEMarkets, A Brand of Trading Point - Trading Point of Financial Instruments Ltd of London, has acquired the two-letter domain name XM.COM as the short name for XEMarkets for an undisclosed amount.
