Total domain sales for the week, including confidential sales and sales under $1,000, summed to $1,779,357.
Sales were led by Likers.com for $28,0000 and Rah.com for $20K.
Non .com sales were led by Fn.net which sold for $15,050

Last Sold In 2005 For $1.4 Million, VIP.com Is Sold To Publicly Held VipShop.com - Publicly traded VipShop.com (NYSE: VIPS) whose site is VipShop.com has quietly acquired the domain name VIP.com.
The company has a market cap of $3.77 billion dollars.
It appears according to DomainTools.com the company acquired the domain just a few weeks ago at or around September 24th, 2013.
I haven’t seen any announcement on the sale and VipShop.com has not issued a press release.

Sedo.com Transactions Total $1MM Led By USA.org For $56K - Sedo.com just published their domain transactions for the week 10/7/13 – 10/13/13 totaling $1MM.
Over the past week, 698 transactions took place on Sedo’s marketplace and via SedoMLS, totaling over $1MM.
This amounts to $53.1MM in year-to-date sales revenue.
Over 45% of total sales were the result of Buy Now listings.

Registry sells four more premium adult domain names.
ICM Registry, the company behind the .xxx top level domain name, announced today that it sold four premium .xxx domain names for $600,000.
Adult entertainment company Really Useful Limited bought Mature.xxx, Bdsm.xxx, Publicsex.xxx, and Teen.xxx. Teen.xxx was the highest priced domain name at $400,000.

After appropriation TenMarks, Amazon.com’s domain name group went to work -
Company registers over 75 domain names after making acquisition.
Whenever Amazon.com announces a new product or acquires a company, it goes a bit nuts defensively registering related domain names.
Last week Amazon acquired online match education company TenMarks, and its domain name team went to work.
I count at least 75 defensive registrations, and I’m sure there are many more.

When GoDaddy acquired Afternic, one of my unspoken concerns was that Afternic would no longer release sales data. GoDaddy has historically released less information than other large domain marketplaces.
The good news is Afternic sales are still be disclosed. The great news is that GoDaddy’s sales are also being included now!

Google acquires CRR.com domain name from Telepathy for new TLDs -
Google buys CRR.com domain from Telepathy.
It would seem that good .com domains are still highly prized, even by new top level domain name applicants.
Google has acquired the domain name CRR.com, and I have no doubt it was acquired for the company’s new TLD subsidiary Charleston Road Registry. [Update: the domain now forwards to Google’s registry page.]

NBC Universal and Harry David among companies that bought domain names via DomainNameSales.com last month.
DomainNameSales.com sent out a monthly sales list for September yesterday. This marks the first time DNW is putting together an end user sales list for DomainNameSales.com. Some of the bigger sales, including DataCenters.com at $190,000, have unknown buyers.

This week’s end user domain sales at Sedo include a purchase by ad firm Deutsch. Deutsch, which counts California Milk Processor Board (Got Milk?) as a client, bought MilkLife.com for $7,000. Deutsch is also GoDaddy’s ad firm.

Cruises.com.au Sells For $102,000 To Company With Over $50 Million In Sales - According to a press release out this morning the Domain name Cruises.com.au, sold for $110,000 AUD (approx. $102,000 USD) in an all cash deal.
The domain was brokered by , Dtrade.
The domain name was purchased by Ozcruising Pty Ltd which according to the press release is ” Australia’s number one online cruise agency with sales exceeding fifty million dollars annually.”

CBS.de Sells for $30K on Sedo & Meetings.co.uk Sells For A Measly $1,200 - A couple of sales of note crossed the Sedo.com sales wire this morning.
The domain name CBS.de sold for 22,015 Euro’s or around $30,000.
The CBS of course is one of the four Major Television broadcast networks in the United States but can stand for thousands of other things as well.
.De is the ccTLD for Germany.
It will be interesting to see who the buyer of the domain is.
On another note the domain name Meetings.co.uk sold for just 800 GBP or around $1,200

WTF: ChrisKay.com Sells For $30,000 On Sedo After Its Just Dropped One Year Ago - The domain name ChrisKay.com just crossed the Sedo sales wire selling for 22,000 Euro’s or just about $30,000.
In 2012 The domain name was owned by Chris Kay of Essex UK and registered at Tucows until it went into redemption and dropped in March 2012
The domain name was then registered by someone in China then transferred to a Christoph Kunckel of Germany in June of 2012.

Servers.com domain name to be sole in failure auction -
Prized domain name will be sold in a court ordered bankruptcy sale.
The domain name Servers.com is headed to the auction block due to bankruptcy.
Servers.com is one of the domains in the Ondova Limited Company bankruptcy. A previous portfolio of domains from Ondova sold for over $5 million, although it got hung up in court for a while.
The auction will take place October 29 in Dallas. A bankruptcy hearing is scheduled for November 4 to approve the sale.

CBS/Cnet Quitely Sells Events.com To Bump Network & Gets Ready To Launch - CBS Interactive quietly sold the Killer domain name Events.com sometime in late April of this year to BUMP Network, Inc.
CBS Interactive is a subsidiary of CBS Corporation which owns CBS.
CBS Interactive purchased Cnet in June 2008 and acquired this domain name Events.com as part of that acquisition.
BUMP Network, Inc owns Bump.com which is a different company than Bu.mp which was recently acquired by Google
