Diamond.com Which Sold For $7.5 Million in 2006 Is Back On The Market - The domain name Diamond.com is back on the market and its being brokered by Godaddy.
In 2006 Ice.com bought the domain name Diamond.com for $7.5 Million from Odimo
According DnJournal.com, Diamond.com it is the 5th highest all cash domain sale of all time.
“If you consider that in nine years, the market has gone up, we hope for a better number than [the previous sale],” says Paul Nicks, senior director of aftermarket at GoDaddy. “If you look at the top end of the domain market, it’s all generic.”

Goldman Sachs and other finish user domain name buys - A Goldman Sachs company was among those buying domain names at Sedo last week.
Sedo handled 675 domain name transactions last week for a total of $1.2 million. The top sale was TheRecRoom.com for $89,888. This was clearly an end user purchase, but the domain name’s whois record is protected by privacy.
As for the ones that appear with open whois records…Goldman Sachs bought one of the domain names for its AYCO company. Other buyers include a dog breeder, an RV seller, and a storage company.

RealSaltLake.com The Professional Sports Team (MLS) Buys RSL.com For $45K - The domain name RSL.com has been sold to the profession MLS Soccer Team “Real Salt Lake” which uses the domain name RealSaltLake.com

Report: BufferApp Buys Buffer.com For $600,000 & It Took Almost 2 Years - inc42.com published a story about how BufferApp.com purchased the domain name Buffer.com for $600,000.
Interestingly the company itself, Bufferapp.com, published a lot of details about the acquisition of the domain name which took almost 2 years to complete from first contact with the owner of the domain.
The company BufferApp.com did not mention the price it paid for Buffer.com in their blog post, you will have to read the inc42.com story how they got to the $600K figure.

One of the things about domain investors is they like rare domains, a repeating three letter .com certainly falls into that category, only 26 of them and one sold today on NameJet. VVV.com sold for $136,400.
The bidding went back and forth between members VVVcom and First, in the end First won the name at $136,400
There were six bidders who bid $100,000 or more. A total of 515 bids.

Mega List: 67 finish user domain name sales - Joseph Peterson tracks down 67 recent end user domain name sales.
During the previous week, Sedo’s network handled 581 domain transactions totaling $1.4 million. Compared to last week, whose top 3 public sales at Sedo added up to $500k, a high of $14.5k seems pitifully small. But the total volume is up 56%.
This time, I tracked down end users for 67 domains. As usual, I’m mixing domains that just sold with others that closed earlier but just emerged from escrow.

LuxeValet.com shortens domain name to Luxe.com for $172,500 - Domain name sold to parking company after auction ended.
Heritage Auctions continues to sell domain names that were listed in its auction last month in New York.
One of the bigger sales is Luxe.com, which was purchased by on demand parking and valet service Luxe for $172,500. It has been using the domain name LuxeValet.com. Luxe recently raised $20 million in financing.

Domain Sales Data Website SimilarSales.com Launches - Rudin Web Solutions out of Switzerland has a new site up on SimilarSales.com. The site provides historical sales data and I don’t know if they are just using NameBio.com to collect their data or if they have their own proprietary system for gathering sales data. The site is not as up to date yet as NameBio as the recent sales data was not showing anything for 3/3 or 3/4. Domain Holdings sells $8.1 million of domain names in Q4 - Company brokered over $30 million worth of domain names last year.
Domain Holdings reported today that it sold $8.1 million worth of domain names last quarter, bringing its 2014 tally to $31.0 million.
The fourth quarter number was down slightly from a strong Q2 and Q3 ($9.9M and $9.6M, respectively) but still strong compared to Q1 2014 and prior.
77% of the company’s sales in Q4 were .com domain names, and the same percentage of names had 10 or fewer characters.

MediaOptions Brokers Sales Of 50.com After Being Listed In Newsletter For $3.5 Million - The domain name 50.com has been purchased and the domain transferred to its new owner, Wang Yi of China.
The domain was brokered by MediaOptions.com under a NDA.
All we know is that the domain was sold and was listed in MediaOptions.copm newsletter back in December 2014, with an asking price of $3.5 Million dollars.
