16 End User Domain Name Sales - A look at 16 domain names sold on Sedo last week that were purchased by end users.
Sedo handled about a million dollars worth of domain name transactions last week with 499 domains. Many of the biggest sales — such as Frank Schilling’s $66,000 sale of newy.com — are still in the transfer process. At that price, it’s surely an end user purchase.
Still, there are some notable sales to report. A three letter .org domain sold for $7,500 and a dermatology company bought a domain matching one of ... read more ...

A Dozen finish user domain name sales - Newell Rubbermaid among end user domain name buyers.
The holiday week slowed sales at Sedo, with the company handling 501 transactions for about $1 million last week.
I had difficulty finding the usual number of end user sales, but there are some goods ones in here. Newell Rubbermaid got a steal on KnifeSkills.com, a machinery company bought the .com to match its .us, and Orange County’s bus system got OCBus.com.

Sedo’s top public end user sale for the past week was Filament.com, which was purchased by a company changing its name and introducing a new product line called Filament Network.
The company had some other notable end user sales, including an IOT domain name purchased by a company that’s not an Internet of Things company. They paid a premium because IOT is now a popular acronym.

End user domain name sales including a new TLD for $100k - $100,000 Autism.rocks domain name sale rocks domain investing world.
The number of domain names on my weekly Sedo End User sales lists are not always proportional to the number of domain names that sold in the week, nor proportional to the number of end user sales. Some weeks have a lot of domains likely sold to end users that are still in escrow. Other weeks, it’s hard to connect the dots directly between the buyer and the domain.
This week is a case in point. Sedo handled 545 transactions, which ... read more ...

Monsanto buys domain name for a new code (and other finish user purchases) - Monsanto buys a new brand name .com and a handful of new TLDs are snapped up by end users.
Monsanto recently applied for a trademark on Trecepta, and this past week it bought the matching .com domain name for just $850. Even more peculiar, the domain name was registered last month. Did someone spot the trademark application and register the domain name? Was there some sort of threat that limited the purchase price to $850?
The Monsanto purchase was just one of many end user sales at Sedo, which turned ... read more ...

15 finish user domain name purchases - An accessories company, law firm and trade publisher bought domain names last week.
Sedo had 598 domain name transactions last week for a total of $1.1 million. Two likely end user sales aren’t on this list because they have whois privacy or are still in transfer: MyFood.com at $33,500 and FBet.com at €50,000. Neither domain name resolves to an active website yet, but we’ll probably find out who the buyers in the coming months.

Sedo handled $1.3 million of domain name transactions last week, and the .TV domain name Astrology.tv led the way at $25,000 for public sales. That domain name is protected by whois privacy and currently lands on a GoDaddy placeholder page, so we’ll have to wait to see who the buyer is.

The top sale on Sedo’s weekly transaction list for the past week was Same.com, which I wrote about here.
Although that sale dwarfed the other public sales, some big companies were buyers. Qualcomm, Express and Choice hotels all made purchases. Also take a look at the €7,949 price paid for a hyphenated new top level domain name!

Sedo’s marketplace handled 669 transactions last week for a total of $1.3 million in sales. The top public sale was Car.info, a staggering price for a .info in light of all of the new top level domains available. Yes, “car” is a great second level domain, but it’s still a surprising purchase.

Mega List: 67 finish user domain name sales - Joseph Peterson tracks down 67 recent end user domain name sales.
During the previous week, Sedo’s network handled 581 domain transactions totaling $1.4 million. Compared to last week, whose top 3 public sales at Sedo added up to $500k, a high of $14.5k seems pitifully small. But the total volume is up 56%.
This time, I tracked down end users for 67 domains. As usual, I’m mixing domains that just sold with others that closed earlier but just emerged from escrow.

39 some-more End User domain name sales - 39 recent end user domain name sales at Sedo.
Over the past week, Sedo’s network sold 538 domains totaling $1.2 million. As usual, I’ve done some research and compiled this list of 39 transactions where I’ve detected a specific end user. Some domains actually sold during a prior week but have only just emerged from escrow for inspection. At the moment, several of last week’s larger purchases – including Shein.com ($95k) and HOOQ.com ($50k) – remain indeterminate.

Sedo had another strong batch of sales last week: 12 spanning $10k – $18k and another 4 ranging from $35k all the way up to $150k. Most of the big-ticket items couldn’t be pinned down conclusively – either because the domains are unused and under privacy or because the transfers remain incomplete. One $60k purchase – Employer.com – can be ascribed to a domain investor, but I haven’t yet asked him whether ... read more ...
