Toys.com Sells For $5.1M, After Selling For $1.25M: What Does This Mean For Domain Valuation & Auctions - So as we all know by now Toys.com, which sold literally just days ago, for $1,250,000 as part of a bankruptcy court proceeding, sold today for $5,100,000 after a re-auction was ordered by the bankruptcy court.
What does that say about the value of domains or domain auctions?
How does a domain at auction sell one week for $1.25 million and the next week for over $5 Million.
Simple.
The first auction only a few people knew about or participated in, causing the end price to be below market value.

LeatherSofa.com Tops Another 100k+ In Sales At NameJet.com - Well its another $100K+ performance over at NameJet.com this week.
Over the last 4 days, just on the domains I follow, I counted 33 domains selling for over $1,000 each, for a total of $128K. This works out to an average of just under $4K per domain, not bad in a week that has seen the stock market fall to a six year low.
The top selling domain on my list, LeatherSofa.com which sold for a comfy $17,100.
Here is a list of just the domains I followed, also please note that none of these are re-auctioned ... read more ...

Remote bidding will be available for those not in attendance.
According to my records, storagefacility.com sold for $18,000 at TRAFFIC West in 2008. I don’t know if the domain sale closed and if its the new owner or original owner selling it, but in either event, its a domain which is priced 20% of what is sold for less than a year ago, making ... read more ...
Bido.com Back In Action Today: Here’s What You Need To Know - Bido.com the unique 1 domain a day auction platform, returns to service today.
As we all know the site was taken down for technical difficulties last year.
Bido.com’s model of 1 domain a day all starting at $1, ensures a sale a day for the service and the domain holder. The service saw a good deal of activity and had some nice sales last year in the four and five figures, and we expect it to return, better than ever.
Some of the sale from last year included:

IREIT/NameJet Proves Domains Are Liquid Assets - The sell of of IREIT domains continues over at NameJet.com this week.
What’s lost in the story is the fact that this strategy by IREIT to sell their domains in this fashion, all starting at a $69 reserve is that domain names are in fact a Liquid investment.
The debate has raged for quite a while are domains liquid assets, that is can they be sold and turned into cash quickly if they need to be.
After watching IREIT domains selling on NameJet for decent prices the answer is YES.
A good domain will ... read more ...

Wow We Actually Bought Domains At DomainFest: Our Take, Our Suggestions & How About That “Other” Auction - Having had a good nights sleep, after much drinking and partying at the Mansion, enjoying a wonderful lunch at the Ivy restaurant on an absolutely beautiful day here in LA, after reading your comments to my post on the Live auction results, and many other blogs, I’m ready to share my thoughts on yesterday auction.
I was pretty active in the auctions, selling 1 name in the live, 1 in the silent and buying 2 names in the silent and 5 in the live, so my perspective is both as an observer and as ... read more ...
