UPDATED: TRAFFIC Auction Nets $240K As .XXX Accounts For $77K - UPDATE:  I was informed by the owner of the domain names that sold “conditionally” at the auction, MovieTheater.com and MovieTheatre.com for $45,000 that he did NOT accept the lower sales price and therefore these domain did NOT sell and have been removed and the sales figures adjusted. The live domain name Auction from the TRAFFIC show just concluded with about $240,000 in sales of which $77K were for .XXX domains. I think the lack of online bidding hurt the overall sales figures. No Online Bidding From Live Domain Auction At The TRAFFIC Conference - The organizers of the TRAFFIC conference just announced there will NOT be any online bidding at the  live domain name auction held at the conference. Of course for many of the first domain TRAFFIC conferences there was no online bidding, but later shows had online bidding through either SnapNames.com or Proxybid. It seems phone and even some sort of text bidding will be allowed, but it certainly will give more incentive to people to attend the conference when online bidding is not available. Moreover ... read more ...

Copy Sells For Just $101K On NameJet.com - The auction for the domain name Copy.com just closed on Namejet.com at just $101,300. The price IMHO is quite low considering the auction had a record number of bidders for a NameJet.com auction ever at 615 and there were 4 bidders at over $100K. Its highly unusual for 3 bidders to drop out between $100K and $101,300. There were 8 bidders of $50K or more in the auction. In the poll that we just concluded only 5 people of out 66 said the domain would sell for $100K or under.   Google+Michael ... read more ...
