Baidu.com - For all those still not aware of Baidu (part of our domain parking stock index), in an article published today by Investors Business Daily they reviewed the company: “China’s search leader has relegated Google to a distant No. 2 in the world’s most populous nation. CFO Of Baidu Killed in Accident - According to a report in cnn.com, the chief financial officer of China’s dominant Internet search engine Baidu.com, Shawn Wang, died in an accident On December 27, while on vacation in China. Stocks: Despite Slow Day Big Gains in Tech - Today we a pretty light day in the market, volume was down and the dow pretty much unchanged. However 3 notable  stock developments today Google, part of our Domain Stock Parking Index was up over 10 points to over $700  share Baidu, also part of our Domain Stock Parking Index was up almost 20 points just short of $400 a share. PPC Companies Agree to Pay Fine for Gambling Ads - Microsoft, Google and Yahoo agreed to pay a civil fine totaling 31.5 million dollars for carrying PPC ads for gambling, going back to 2000.     Microsoft paid 21 million, Yahoo share was 7.5 million and Google paid 3 million, less than half of its average daily profit of 11 million dollars. Baidu breaks $400 a share - Baidu.com broke through the $400 a share level today.  After hitting its high of $429 in late October it fell as low as $300 a share just a few weeks ago. For those unfamiliar with Baidu, it is the leading search engine in China. According to reports Baidu had 61.5% of the search market in China in the third quarter up from 58.1% in the previous quarter.
