Domain name investor starts the year with a good sale.
Longtime domain name investor Garry Chernoff has started 2015 with a nice sale: Montrose.com at $75,000.
The domain name now shows CSC Corporate Domains, a brand domain name registrar, as registrant. Chernoff says the company approached him about the domain name.

Garry Chernoff sells Scada.com domain name for $110k -
Domain investor strikes gold with SCADA.com.
Domain name investor Garry Chernoff has sold the domain name Scada.com for $110,000.
The buyer is B-Scada, Inc. (Beyond SCADA). SCADA stands for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition, and is a field I know a bit about thanks to a technology licensing deal I did nearly a decade ago.
Chernoff says the deal was brokered by Darryl Lopes at DomainNameSales.com and was paid over a period of nine months.

Dick’s Sporting Goods buys 3 domain names for $395,000 -
Retailer purchases sports-related domain names.
Sporting goods giant Dick’s Sporting Goods has purchased three sports related domain names for $395,000.
Garry Chernoff sold Runners.com, SportGear.com, and SportsGear.com to the company in a package.
The deal was brokered by Andrew Hunovice, who previously helped Chernoff sell BowlingBalls.com for $225,000.

“UDRP Veterans” urge domain name -
Panel says “UDRP Veterans” know what they’re doing.
Garry Chernoff of NetIncome Ventures and domain attorney John Berryhill teamed up to successfully defend the domain name Hennessey.com in a UDRP.
There are a couple interesting things about this case:
