The TRAFFIC NY Show Where Dreams Came True - On a personal note, I want to thank everyone in the domainer community for honoring me with the Domainer of the Year and the Domain Hall of Fame Awards.
I’m quite humbled by your support and greatly appreciate the honor. I was actually shocked to win, so surprised that I could barely put two words together, but at least I got to thank my Wife Judi who has been by my side for 22 years, and Adam Matuzich who has been on my other side for 8 years.
My induction to the Domain Hall of Fame was made ... read more ...

Injury KO’s Monte Cahn From TRAFFIC Auction - As the TRAFFIC show sets to open tonight in New York there will be a very familiar face missing.

Victor Pitts from Moniker will be stepping in for Monte.
We of course wish Monte a fully recovery as he has a long, painful road ... read more ...

Former TRAFFIC Keynote Speaker Corcoran, Lands Right In The “Shark Tank” - In case you haven’t seen it, ABC new reality show the Shark Tank, has a domain connection.
The show allowed people who own a business, or a product, pitch it to 5 very successful and wealthy businessmen, call the Sharks, and attempt to sell a piece of the business product or idea, for cold hard cash.
The cool part of the show is that the 5 sharks actually invest their own money into the ventures or products.
One of the five sharks on the show is Barbara Corcoran, who started The Corcoran Group, ... read more ...

The domain Ad.com, lead the pack selling for $1.4 Million, after having a reserve range of just $250K-$500K.

Rick Latona Live TRAFFIC Auction Nets $375K - The Rick Latona Live Auction from the TRAFFIC show just finished and grossed about $375K in sales.

SmartPhones.com sold for $95K.
The combo of Mortuary.com and Mortuaries.com which we predicted would sell did for the reserve of $25K.
FLR.com which was first thought to have sold at $16K, sounded like it did not in fact sell, as it was bought back at the end without a buyer.

Domaining 2.0? Best Show Ever?, we Don’t Think So: Final Thoughts And Observations From DomainFest - DomainFest’s theme was domaining 2.0, where does the industry go from here.
I was honored to speak about the topic. Since the session was a sit down chat, answering questions from a moderator and the audience, I didn’t prepare remarks. Instead I spent a lot of time reflecting on the domain business, where its been and where its going. Unfortunately the session was only a hour and after the moderator’s opening remarks. less than 50 minutes remained.
