The domain is being offered for sale on ebay.com with a starting bid and reserve of only $75K.
According to the owner of the domain, the sale with Rick Latona did not close as the “winning bidder was unable to get the financing he
thought was a sure thing.”

iTrust.com Sells On NameJet.com For $13K - The domain itrust.com sold today for $13,100 on NameJet.com to the bidder known as “eglobal”.
itrust.com is certainly an end user type of domain and for me a bit overpriced.

nextera.com $3,300

Why Would Anyone Pay $69 To Own Real–Estate.net? - Going through the Namejet’s backorder list for today I found this gem; Real–Estate.net.
A domain with not just one, but two hyphens in and a .net to top it off.
I checked Alexa and compete to see if the domain had any traffic but it seems to have none.
Some other domains not to be missed are: kinhdoanh.net, iacciamman.com, and gkapllani.com just to name a few.
Everyday I see over 150-175 domains backordered on NameJet.com at $69 each and out of those, only 10 or so mean anything, another ... read more ...

NameJet.com Responds - Yesterday we posted about Toxic.com, and several other domains, that had come back into auction at NameJet.com, due to non-paying bidders and the problem that this situation creates.
Today Steve Brown, General Manager of NameJet.com, responded to that post as follows:
“””We’ve been taking a harder stance against non-paying customers excluding those with non-payment issues from participating in new auctions and from winning auctions where they were already participants. We are in the ... read more ...

The domain now is in a public auction, so even if you couldn’t participate in the first auction because you did not backorder it, now you can.

Namejet.com continues to see a bunch of unpaid domains coming back into auction, not just the large transaction domains but domains that sold for $79 even ... read more ...

Geo Extended Auction: Our Picks & Pans - The Geo Aftermarket.com extended auction starts closing at noon tomorrow PST, Tuesday May 5.
We have gone through the 57 domains available for bidding in the extended auction (to see all domains click here) and here are our thoughts:
The most attractive domain is reserve.com, because it was offered at no reserve, but presently has a high bid of $12K. Estibot appraised at $84K. The domain seems to me to be worth in the 20K range, but it could go higher as there is more than 1 bidder on it already.

Trumpet.com Sells for $70K On NameJet.com - We blogged about Trumpet.com, last week, while it was still available for backorder at NameJet.com. We pointed out that this domain sold at TRAFFIC New York last September for $35k
The auction closed the other day amounst all the TRAFFIC auctions, with the domain selling for a whopping $70,486 to “namebidder”.
If payment is made that is a good sign for the industry to see a domain double in price in less than 7 months, in a horrible economy.

Moniker Live TRAFFIC Auction Nets $2.1 Million - The Live Moniker TRAFFIC auction just concluded with a total of $2.1 Million dollars in sales.
The domain Ad.com, lead the pack selling for $1.4 Million, after having a reserve range of just $250K-$500K.
It appears the domain was purchased by Directi.
The next highest priced domain sale was bottledwater.com, for $45K, Athletic.com came in at $40K, and then Vixen.com at $32K.
In all 90 domains sold, or just under 50%, a great sell through rate, in a bad economy.

Rick Latona Live TRAFFIC Auction Nets $375K - The Rick Latona Live Auction from the TRAFFIC show just finished and grossed about $375K in sales.
No big surprises on domains that sold.
Shows.com which we predicted $125K for, sold for $102K making it the highest priced sale.
SmartPhones.com sold for $95K.
The combo of Mortuary.com and Mortuaries.com which we predicted would sell did for the reserve of $25K.
FLR.com which was first thought to have sold at $16K, sounded like it did not in fact sell, as it was bought back at the end without a buyer.

The domain is at $4,000 pre-auction.

Latham.com Sells For $30K At NameJet.com - Latham.com sold for $30,300 at Namejet.com
Latham is a popular last name which pulls over 7 million results on Google
If you do a Google search for “Latham” the first result is for Latham Watkins, which seems to be a very large international law firm, second is a link to Congressman Tom Latham of Iowa and then to the Latham Hotel, a small hotel in NY.
Seems like a lot of money for a domain with limited development potential.

Trumpet.com: Back Up On Auction Block At NameJet.com - Trumpet.com appears to be back up on the auction block at NameJet.com
The domain which sold for $35,000 at TRAFFIC New York, last September, started with a reserve price of zero.
Already 134 people have backordered the domain, although it does not appear to be a “expired” or dropped domain” as it currently has an expiration date of July 2015.
So it appears to be a private sale through NameJet.com, and it will be interesting to see if the domain brings in more or less than its previous sale ... read more ...

Why Do Domainers Pay More For “Dropped Domains” Than Owned Domains - This is a question that has puzzled me for years.
The psychology involved with dropped domains vs. Owned domains.
When a domain is in a drop auction at NameJet.com or Snapnames.com it seems everyone is willing to pay more, a lot more, than they would for the same name if it was for sale by the owner.
I have never understood why, but I see evidence of it all the time.
Take the name raspberry.com, which is currently in auction at at SnapNames.com, which closes on later today and already has a high ... read more ...

127 Stories Got It Wrong Yesterday - According to Google’s count, there were 127 stories published online yesterday about the report from WIPO that “cybersquatting” cases increased 8% last year.
