Sedo.com Sells $1.4MM In Domains Led By Connect.to for $16,500 - Sedo.com just announced its weekly sales data ending July 2nd, 2012. In all over $1.4MM of domains were sold. The top seller was Connect.to at $16,500.
Other domains topping the list of public sales were Vision247.com for $13,000 Iles.com for €10,090.
In all 780 domains were sold. 41% of total sales were the result of Buy Now listings.

Microsoft Could Have Bought The Domain Industry For Less, Instead It Bought aQuantive & Lost Over 6 Billion - Back in 2008 we made the suggestion that Microsoft (MSFT) which was then sitting on $46 Billion should spent what we estimated would be less than $5 Billion and buy out all the top domain name portfolio’s, thereby shifting percentages of traffic away from Google for its own search engine.
Unfortunately Microsoft didn’t follow our advice.
However a few months Microsoft blew $6.3 Billion by buying aQuantive, an ad agency which was seen as a DoubleClick competitor.

The domain names are applestor.com and wwwitune.com and considering that the domain holder didn’t even respond to the complaint and that the domains were going to parked pages full of links to Apple products the only surprising part of the decision is how long it was.

Waiter.com, a food delivery web site started in 1995, has sued GoWaiter.com, a similar service apparently started in 2010.

Yes Apple bought the Trademark rights from a Taiwanese company, but a Chinese company claimed the rights purchased did not include mainland China.

Facebook says genuine estate organisation is cybersquatting on 30 domain names -
30 domains include “facebook” in them.
Facebook has filed a cybersquatting complaint against a San Diego area realty company, claiming that the company is cybersquatting on its famous mark.
The complaint with National Arbitration Forum lists thirty total domain names that include the Facebook name andrew are registered to Pellegrino Realty in La Mesa, California:
