Monday’s Wall Street Journal has yet another domain name article.
I just finished writing a post about a domain name parking article in Business 2.0. I opened up the Marketplace section of The Wall Street Journal and what did I see…another article about domain parking.
This one is also about adding content and juicing up domain parking pages. It discusses FlashGames.com, a parking page that generates $150,000 a year. (Anyone notice that it’s basically a framed Sedo parking page?)
The article says that former MySpace.com chairman Richard Rosenblatt raised $120M from investors to build a new company called Digital Media Inc. The company will focus on buying generic domain names and adding a bit of content. It will be similar to Internet REIT and other companies buying up portfolios of stellar domains.
The article also says that Demand Media has purchased domain registrar eNom.
