My TrafficClub domain parking revenue performance improved in June but is still below April.
My overall RPM (revenue per 1000 views) in June was $54.18, up from $51.20 in May but still below April’s $57.90. When you consider the relative traffic to individual domains within a portfolio, the difference between $51 and $58 is relatively small. Granted, if you receive 100,000 views per month this comes out to $700. But my portfolio gets nowhere near that much traffic.
I also experimented with Parked.com in June and report my results below.
First, for TrafficClub:
Overall RPM – $54.18
DomainSponsor generic RPM – $13.36
DomainsSponsor optimized RPM – $78.65
Google Adsense for Domains RPM – $19.89
Skenzo RPM – $70.41
DomainsSponsor and Skenzo continue to lead in RPM. My two highest RPM domains (receiving at least 100 views) scored $332.15 and $85.70 respectively. My two lowest RPM domains took in $3.68 and $3.79.
Now for Parked.com’s results. I need to make a caveat here. As I’ve mentioned previously, I moved my poorly performing domains from TrafficClub to Parked.com to see if Parked could do any better. In many cases it has. My overall Parked.com RPM was $13.34, slightly better than this portfolio of domains performed at TrafficClub in the past. Whenever someone quotes you an RPM for a parking service, keep in mind that different portfolios can expect to earn different RPMs. The portfolio I have at Parked.com is low traffic and low CTR, so $13.34 isn’t bad. Of the domains receiving at least 100 views, my top performer had a $26.08 RPM and the lowest performer earned $0. Obviously I need to move some of these domains to services that generate revenue from pop-ups.
I’ve heard from several people that have said Parked.com’s service has gone downhill, perhaps as the service becomes overwhelmed with its early success. (NameDrive had this same problem after its launch; see NameDrive continues to push domain parking limits.) Support requests take a lot longer than just a month ago. However, Parked.com continues to pay like clockwork twice a month. I still think it’s a good service to try some of your domains.
