Co-founder of MP3.com becomes senior advisor to WhyPark.
Domain Name Wire has learned that Rod Underhill, one of the founders of MP3.com, is joining domain parking alternative WhyPark as a senior advisor. The company will make an official announcement on Monday.
Underhill is an attorney who gained fame as co-founder of MP3.com, which skyrocketed to a $6 billion valuation during the dot.com boom. He has also co-authored two “Idiot’s Guide” books, including “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Making Millions on the Internet” and “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to MP3”.
In addition to advising a number of software and web-based companies, Underhill is an adjunct professor of law at San Diego’s Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
WhyPark is having a busy month. Earlier this week it launched its completely overhauled system, which enables domain owners to quickly create and grow content-based web sites that get organic search engine traffic. The service has been growing quickly after getting an angel investment of $230,000 last April. According to DomainTools, WhyPark’s name servers have approximately 65,000 domain names on them. WhyPark president Craig Rowe tells me that some of the domains aren’t on its nameservers, and that the service is currently on 150,000 domains, which is confirmed by a reverse IP check on the server.

Very nice. WhyPark is making good improvements and hopefully results will be much better.
Rod Underhill says
I am very proud of this company, my involvement with it, and what’s coming up in the future. Expect to be blown away.

Rod, I look forward to being “blown away”
