New Stephen Colbert book references a number of domain names, none of which are in use.
What did you do for Christmas?
I’ll tell you what I did. I curled up in front of the fire with Stephen Colbert’s latest book, America Again.
It comes in 3-D, which should be music to the ears of domain name investors that spent money registering ridiculous 3-D domain names. Colbert says 3-D movies make a lot of money, so he figured why not throw it in his book.
I noticed four domain names in the book. None of them are in use, and it’s unclear if Colbert actually owns any of them. It’s a shame he didn’t register the first one below, as he could have made a great joke site. But he can buy it cheap right now — (And So Can You!)
Gold4Gold.com – this domain gets the most promotion in America Again. It literally gets its own full page “ad”. The joke: send in your gold, and we’ll send back less gold than you sent in.
America Again was published in October, but someone registered this domain in July. Never fear, Colbert fans. If you really want this domain, it’s listed with a buy now price of only $100 at Go Daddy. Heck, just one Gold for Gold transaction and the domain will pay for itself!
PKJokeID.com and PKDentures.com – these were part of the “Talking to Police” advice on page 176. Both were registered in May this year under whois privacy and both resolve to Go Daddy parked pages.
xprqx.com – this was is a bit more obscure. It was a sample email address on a resume. It was also registered in May this year (but before the PK domains) and resolves to a Go Daddy parked page.

Just for fun I looked up the other tld’s that were registered.
.net-GoDaddy parked page
.info- GoDaddy parked page
.org- redirects to Gold4Gold.ca, which is in support of CANfund, which happens to be a Canadian charity.
If I owned Gold4Gold.ca I would for sure buy the .com for $100.
