Biggest crowd ever packs house for DOMAINfest 2011.
DOMAINfest just kicked off today in Santa Monica and new registrations are still coming in. Yet the crowd has already surpassed last year’s record and is quickly approaching 700 people.
And while the rest of the country braces for a severe cold spell it’s a beautiful 62 degrees in Santa Monica.
At 2 PM local time Oversee.net CEO Jeff Kupietzky will take the stage to talk about the state of the industry and where it’s headed. At 3 PM Go Daddy founder Bob Parsons will give a keynote titled “Luck & Perspective”.
This will be followed by a low and no reserve domain name auction and then a party hosted by .co.
Stay tuned to Domain Name Wire for updates.
Shaun Pilfold says
The numbers never lie. 700 people is pretty immpressive. I’m usually not a big attendee of seminar/sessions, but quite a few of them look pretty interesting for people newer to the industry or seasoned veterans. I regret not going.

Numbers dont lie!
700 people attending out of world population of 7 billion people…wow…pretty good turn out…LOL
Almost as impressive as Frank Schilling selling 250 domains out of 350,000+ domains…LOL
Howard says
there were 200 at the first session and 300 at lunch
Andrew Allemann says
Almost all of them at Bob Parson’s talk.
james says
were any of the godaddy girls there with Hugh, err Bob?
J. says
Bob Parsons filled the hall completely.
There are more new faces than at last years Domainfest.
