The Wall Street Journal is writing a new article about the domain name industry – this one about expired domain drop catching.
According to a post at DNForum by someone who said he was interviewed for the story, The Wall Street Journal is writing another article about the domain name industry. This article will cover drop catching and the expired domain business. Hopefully the paper will interview not only successful individuals and companies on the buy side but also representatives of the popular drop catching services. It will be interesting to see if the article also discusses direct drop agreements like the one between Network Solutions and SnapNames.
The Wall Street Journal Online wrote an article in November about the growing domain name market and how values are based on potential advertising revenue.
For more on the drop catching market and the most popular services, see the post about Domain Name Wire’s survey results for expiring domains.
Thanks to Ramiro and others that tipped me off to this “news about news.”
