Lettuce.com sold for $4,002 on TDNAM, much to my disappointment.
An auction for Lettuce.com ended Thursday at $4,002 on GoDaddy’s TDNAM. Why does this disappoint me? Because I wanted to win the auction!
Thursday evening I was perusing TDNAM and saw that Lettuce.com was closing within an hour and was only $1,000 at the time. I had a 5:30AM wake up call the next morning for travel so I knew I couldn’t stay up the entire time waiting to bid at the last second. So I entered my bid of $2,200 and went to bed.
Alas, it wasn’t enough as the domain sold for about twice that am0unt. It appears that the Lettuce.com seller is Foxy Fresh Vegetables, which uses the domain to forward to Foxy.com. Lettuce.com is a great domain for a produce company or even as a brandable product (Spinach.com has nothing to do with spinach!).
You win some, you lose some. Congrats to the high bidder.
