A “Merry Christmas” edition of the end user sales report.
Sedo has changed its weekly sales disclosure to only include sales of $2,000 or less. Their median sales price is well below $2,000, so this means the volume of end user sales I can report is significantly lower. I’m going to work with Sedo to get additional data for this report going forward.
But for this week–the last end user report of the year–I’ve discovered 11 end user sales of up to $50,000.
Here’s a look at these end user domain name sales from the past week:
(You can view previous lists like this here. If you’d like to learn how to sell your domain names like these on Sedo, download this report.)
Ligado.com $50,000 – this domain name is protected by whois privacy. However, ATC Technologies, LLC recently applied for several trademarks for “Ligado“.
IvyTutors.com $14,295 – there are a number of possible buyers.
Khazir.com $10,000 – Khazir sells luxury items. It has a “coming soon” page up.
OwnMade.com $2,395 – Liquor company Pernod Ricard, known for Absolut, Beefeater and Jameson.
Thunder.org $3,000 – media company Burda Media. I doesn’t seem to have a publication called Thunder (yet).
Afero.com $4,999 – Internet of Things platform Afero decided owning Afero.io wasn’t enough.
PalletPal.com $2,799 – Southworth Products makes tools to make lifting pallets easier.
Wifor.com €5,500 – WifOR is an economics research spinoff of the Chair of Public Economics and Economic Policy at the Darmstadt University of Technology. It uses Wifor.de for its website.
RidgewoodSavingsBank.com $7,500 – Ridgewood Savings Bank in Ridgewood, New York. I’m kind of surprised they paid this much.
ManagementArtist.com $3,000 – Management + Artists, an agency for entertainers, uses the plural name ManagementArtists.com.
AppGuard.net $2,500 – Internet security company Blue Ridge Networks sells an internet security tool called AppGuard. The company doesn’t own the matching .com.

I live not far from Ridgewood queens, and seen their adds on buses, bus stops and other places. Don’t be surprised, they small bank but pretty well off by most standards. With 20+ Branches across nyc they probably didnt think much about it.
They do own Ridgewoodbank.com , which is a better name, but i think their brand identity is word Savings in it hence they paid up. Funny part that they are all across NYC but for some reason still use Ridgewood as main name.

I was thinking there might be a UDRP possibility.

Some nice sales and seller of Ligado had guts of asking that price which was really good!
Thanks for sharing Andrew 🙂
