One of the domain industry’s most important conferences, Domain Roundtable, is just a couple months away.
The Domain Roundtable conference is organized by Name Intelligence, known for running the Whois.sc service.
Details
Dates: April 19-21, 2006
Location: Bellevue, WA (Seattle Area)
Web site: domainroundtable.com
Domain Name Wire readers are eligible for an exclusive discount until March 10! Just enter your VIP code drt2006@domainnamewire.com when you register. You can attend all three days of the conference for only $1,095, a savings of up to $400.
Believe me when I tell you it will be well worth the money. You’ll get to meet some of the biggest names in the industry and representatives of registrars, parking companies, drop services, and more. Expect big domain name transactions to occur during this event! Keynote speakers for this year’s event include ICANN chairman Vint Cerf and Marc Ostrofsky (famous for selling Business.com for $7.5M).
I’m looking forward to a lot of the sessions, but here are the ones that I’m most excited about:
Domain Traffic, Good vs. Bad – this is becoming a key issue as the pay-per-click market undergoes scrutiny.
New Top Level Domains – Domain Name Wire’s survey results show that domain owners are generally opposed to new top level domains. This session should include some healthy debate.
Understanding Domain Hijacking – this is a big problem and growing bigger.
Tools for Domains – Even if you use dozens of domain tools but you can always learn more.
Corporations and Typosquatting Trends – Microsoft blew the lid off the typosquatting industry this year. There should be some fireworks in this session.
Live Domain Auction – whether or not you bring your checkbook, this should be exciting!
Extreme Revenue – learn from those making $30k plus from domain traffic each month.
Join me at Domain Roundtable April 19-21 in Seattle. Be sure to register by March 10 using VIP code drt2006@domainnamewire.com to save up to $400. If you decide to attend, please try to find me and say hello during the conference.
