LV.net has sold on Afternic for $10,000.
Afternic recently completed the sale of LV.net for $10,000. Sales of two letter domains are extremely rare given the small number of two letter combinations and restrictions for availability when there are conflicts with country code domains (e.g. .de). Soon we might see sales of single letter domains, such as B.com.
LV.net isn’t the only two letter domain to sell in recent weeks. According to DNJournal BB.org sold for $20,000 and BS.net sold for $15,100. Interestingly, BS.net sold on eBay, which rarely sees high quality domain sales.
Afternic has completed some other good sales over the past few days, including eBayTax.com for $2,889. Intuit was the buyer of eBayTax.com. Intuit might use the domain for its previously announced eBay Accounting Assistant. Afternic also managed the sale of Kleen-Team.com for $5,000. The buyer is a UK cleaning company and this seems like an unusually high price paid by a local cleaning business. Kleen Team already owns KleenTeam.com. ZSpot.com sold for $3,000 to ZSpotlight.com, a North Carolina entertainment site.
